The Bruins are the antithesis to that type of hockey which is why Montreal are our mortal enemies. We play the game the way it' supposed to be played- like the Broad Street Bullies of the 70's but we're not dirty and we actually have technical ability. It's why we're so beloved when we go deep in the playoffs and when we beat the Habs. The league is a better place when we do well.
Those calls tonight were terrible- only a more physical team than us could draw those kinds of calls and the Pens certainly aren't that. They have that SportsCenter creation "Sid the Kid" and a middling keeper with a funny name- I don't even know who the other guys are. Plus, you DON'T call a stick penalty on a keeper when his team is already down a man. To get a 5-3 you should have to straight up try and murder somebody!
I'll take some small solace knowing that the Bruins haven't played a team this year that is their equal in personnel or coaching; much less anybody better than they are!
1. I read that Bruins post imagining a Boston accent on it. MURDAH SAHMBUDY!
2. And the Bruins sure are the antithesis of "that" type of hockey team....
