Crosby is expected to have the kind of season he’s having, and truth be told, he’s not the Pittsburgh Penguins’ MVP. That goes to Chris Kunitz, who’s showing that Crosby’s not the only one on the team who can score goals. To give Crosby credit for Kunitz’s success shortchanges Kunitz’s talent.

What does Kane have that Crosby doesn’t? For me, it’s the puck skills. To watch Kane deke his way through defensemen is breathtaking. You don’t hear about Crosby having sick or silky mitts like you do with Kane. He may not have Crosby’s aggressiveness, but Kane makes up for that in stickhandling and plays that seemingly only he can make.
:face:

WTF? Is Alexander Semin writing under the pen name "Krista Golden" now?

Alexander Semin in 2008 wrote:What's so special about [Crosby]? I don't see anything special there. Yes, he does skate well, has a good head, good pass. But there's nothing else. Even if you compare him to Patrick Kane from Chicago ... [Kane] is a much more interesting player. The way he moves, his deking abilities, his thinking on the ice and his anticipation of the play is so superb.

Ok. This is an obvious troll. Kunitz has been great, but stop it.

It's funny when people who know nothing about hockey pretend they do and write nonsense. Silly trolls.

Was at the game last night and after Sutter scored the game winner, this was the first thing I thought of.

Awesome post at the Bruin's Blog page of Boston.com. Background: This poster complained about the reffing, another poster suggested the calls were legit and that the Bruins shouldn't flop to the ice so easily like the Habs do. His response:

The Bruins are the antithesis to that type of hockey which is why Montreal are our mortal enemies. We play the game the way it' supposed to be played- like the Broad Street Bullies of the 70's but we're not dirty and we actually have technical ability. It's why we're so beloved when we go deep in the playoffs and when we beat the Habs. The league is a better place when we do well.

Those calls tonight were terrible- only a more physical team than us could draw those kinds of calls and the Pens certainly aren't that. They have that SportsCenter creation "Sid the Kid" and a middling keeper with a funny name- I don't even know who the other guys are. Plus, you DON'T call a stick penalty on a keeper when his team is already down a man. To get a 5-3 you should have to straight up try and murder somebody!

I'll take some small solace knowing that the Bruins haven't played a team this year that is their equal in personnel or coaching; much less anybody better than they are!

I don't like assuming things from a username, but his username of "PatsInDC" pretty much explains it all.

1. I read that Bruins post imagining a Boston accent on it. MURDAH SAHMBUDY!

2. And the Bruins sure are the antithesis of "that" type of hockey team....

1. To embed videos, you grab the URL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6IxtxfsNWg

2. Paste in the reply, then highlight and click the youtube button up at the top.

3. It would look like if done right.

Oh yes. I bookmarked that one for a good laugh whenever Boston is on the docket from now on.

The Dunkin Donuts on the board behind him is a classy touch. Reminds me so much of Fatty Boudreau. Man I miss him now that he's in the western conference.
