hell of a game. (thoughts from the game)

I was at the game and I literally just got home and made a sandwich and sat down at this computer. We stopped at mitchell's and got some drinks so I am pretty buzzed. I'm home from Los Angeles for a couple weeks and thought I'd grab a pens game. Great game.

some thoughts

Bruins are a really good team.

I sat in section 105 and the crowd noise sucked for the first 45 minutes of the game.... and then it reminded me of the igloo in the last 10 minutes.

20% of the crowd left with 10 minutes to go in the 3rd. Thats a disgrace. It was a 2 goal hockey game. I bet those miserable buggers feel great about leaving early now!

Great game, mid way through the 3rd i kinda sat back and was just happy after falling down 2-0 the pens clampped down and didn't allow a whole lot of chances. Once Kunitz scored i was just happy we ruined the shutout. Once Sutter scored i was just hoping we got a point out of the game. Then after the 3rd goal i was just hopping we held onto the lead. After the game... well it was just a good feelin.

Also, my dad was staunchly against giving me a beer until I was 21.

My dad let me taste his beer when i was 8... i was convinced it was the worst tasting thing ever and never tried it again unitl i was a junior in HS. Liked it ever since.

When I was at a Pens/Bruins game in Consol's first year the Pens had a 2-0 lead on the Bruins with about 2 minutes left. I was wondering if Fleury was going to get a shutout. Well about that time the Bruins scored, then scored again. Then won the game in OT. I guess payback is a b_tch, eh Bruins.

Last night I was thinking that, barring another Bruins score, the Pens needed to score with at least about 7 minutes to go to have a chance. Well, that mark passed. But then they scored about 30 seconds later and I knew they had a chance. And when they scored to tie it and finally go ahead it certainly didn't sound like 4,500 (20%) had left the building. Great game.
