Since Vokoun's pep talk prior to the 2nd period against the Flyers on March 7th, the Pens have been impressive at both ends of the ice.
Since then, the Pens(7-0 including comeback win against the Flyers) have given up 9 goals in 405 minutes for a 1.33 GAA and have been scoring 3.70 G/G(25 goals not counting Sid's shootout winner against Tor).

Didn't hear about that pep talk. What did he say?

I still say the Montreal game is the turning point of the season. It was a battle that united the team.

He also commented on the stupid glasses that DB wears.

And complained about Orpik's play, but he was called a bridge-jumper and banned.

And he backed it up with his play.

Yes, Vokoun has gone 2-0 with a 0.60 GAA and a .974 S% to back up his talk.

If it takes a speech by the backup goalie and the players taking matters into their own hands to fix defensive woes stretching back to at least the last quarter of the previous season, that may be a mighty fine idea! And here I was giving DB credit for Vokoun's magic!
HCTV?

Fans are going to have Billy G syndrome for years.
Crosby will be 35 and we'll be asking for a vet that speaks up in the locker room.

Interesting..... Johnson was a very positive influence "in the room", so perhaps they needed this Vokoun magic

So he pretty much said what every Pens player says during intermission interviews after a bad period. Maybe these guys need to start to listen to themselves.

I will as long as the description 'vet' refers to a player the superstars respect and is not simply 'player X has played X number of seasons therefore is a veteran'. Leadership, personality, charisma and desire to win do not simply accumulate with the passage of time!
Glad TV is calling out the team as Flower seems unlikely to make that stand, and it seems the team is trying to help out the goalies, let's hope the goalies repay the favour by stealing a few

If you're playing D&D, is this more or less powerful than Bylsmagic?

I think it actually went like this:
"According to Ron Cook of the Post-Gazette and 93.7 The Fan, Vokoun told his teammates to stop playing dumb hockey. Stop making silly plays with the puck, play simple, and everything will fall into place... because if they didn't - and the other team got the puck below the penguins goal line, I am fu... I mean we are ******"
