Hmm...this is weird. I'm gonna sound like a broken record though. The best goalies in the NHL are the ones on defensive teams. The Penguins are a bad defensive team and, therefore, have bad goalies. Now, the Pens play good defensive hockey and our goalies look great. Even the crappy one (which one that is seems to vary here).

Well, I'm stumped...

Martin was immense in that game. The Bs outplayed the Pens, but not by a lot. A lot of shots, but that many prime chances. Great win.

One last Edzo rip: he said something like "If Martin looks up, he's got an open net because Rask was heading to the bench." Is it possible Martin saw that but didn't want to risk icing it? Smart play to get the red line.

Kunitz played lights out at the end;+ 3 or 4 crushing checks

He did a great job after Crosby lost the faceoff with about 2:15 left to go in the game. Stole the puck from Hamilton and passed it to Nisky, who was behind the net, who was able just to shoot it out of the zone. GREAT work.

What a stupid ass plan of attack by the Bruins in the last 2 minutes. The fact that they allowed Martin to kill 30 seconds before they even applied pressure was ridiculous. Looked like Rask was about to put the wood onto his own guys as he was going to the bench. Took them over 60 seconds to get the goalie pulled.

Lucic is a big dumb animal. I'm pretty sure Julien just gives him commands and pays him in shiny objects.

Strong, strong game. They are starting to win against the tough teams. Last year in the run-up to the playoffs they were losing to the tougher opponents. This is very encouraging. Let's keep this up, but not peak too soon.

AFter his penalty, Brooks played a good game. His pass to Vitale, helped get the GWG. Yesterday too he played strong.
