CEC wifi

Postby Great58 on Tue Mar 26, 2013 7:53 pm

Is there free wifi at the CEC? I see "public" as a locked source but my attempts at a password are incorrect. Any suggestions?

LOL... show me the wifi that could support 10,000 or more users at once. I think when more than 3 students at my university are logged on the thing shuts down

Its probably like at Rogers Centre where you have to go buy a password from guest services

If you want to get technical, a Motorola access point can service like 250 devices... So, 40 of them isn't out of the ordinary, although the noise would be pretty rough on the signal strength

So basically that's a "no"? I always wondered, so many folks using their smart phones but I always struggle to get a signal. Glad I'm not missing out on a big secret!

Come fix SRU up for me mac, after 7pm my chances of streaming a video or youtube are zilch. :(

Facebook alumni plan WiFi network to support 68,500 fans at 49ers' stadium

If the pens were smart they wouldnt let fans access wifi. Get your head in the game!

Meh. I can only pee once during intermission. Internet connectivity would be ok with me.

I haven't been to a game in quite some time, but i vaguely remember having to watch Sidney Cam and stuff through the wifi in the stadium. You know, with the Pens Mobile app for iOS/Android? Am I completely wrong?

YinzerCam doesn't seem to exist this season. I never used it. Guess I wasn't the only one.

Sadly, due to many family issues, we haven't been to Pittsburgh / CEC yet...

That said - in the old Igloo - I would connect my droid on the public wifi and use the Pens app to access replays during commercial breaks... it was a great perk to have in the arena!
