Who is Engo going to be paired with tonight?

It would be so much easier if he just played Despres over Engelland. Oops, the record is skipping again. :s

He deserves every bit of it. But at least he balances it out with his puck movement 5 on 5. It will be so nice to see a dman that can move the puck!

If we can carry over our play from the third period against Carolina, while adding Letang and getting healthier along the way....I'm liking where we're headed. That third period regained my confidence in this team.

Why Engellend continues to receive a game jersey is beyond me.

He can take some of their skilled tough guys off the ice... Ryan Clowe for example. Other than that who knows.

Because he is scary. Uh oh!

Honestly, I liked the guy when there was no one better(thinking of him or Lovejoy). Sad thing is.... with the way Orpik has been playing and taking himself out of plays sooooo often, :puts on vest: I'd sit Orpik. For the rest of the regular season. Let the dude rest and get his head on straight or something.

Anyone complaining after what we have seen from Niskanen should be banned without warning until Martin comes back.

With so many skilled players on the ice at one time, that role needs to be simply carry the puck, distribute it, keep it in the zone, and take the occasional shot on goal. Letang just can't help himself and tries to make too many plays outside of that role. You need steady, not dynamic.

Was he not 100% last time he returned? The broken toe is unrelated to his other injury, no?

My thought too, initially. I want him ready for the playoffs but not rushed back at potential risk of him being out for them.

I think the concern is the reported "lingering" groin issue he was said to still have been nursing when he returned and broke the toe. It was the toe that shelved him not the groin, though from having had groin injuries in the past I don't see how any NHL player could get a groin to 100% during a season. No matter how long you sit, there is always a concern about it happening again on any given stride.

Gotcha, thanks.

Agreed about the groin injuries. Hopefully, he's as close to 100% as he can get.

"Compression" shorts. Bike shorts are for sissies.....not that there's anything wrong with that.
