In fairness to Rossi, the original is not a quote from Tanger either. Just a report of a comment.

No Norris for Tanger.*

*No, I don't think this is good news in regards to upcoming contract negotiations.

I just heard from FireOnice228 that it's a fact that Letang's toe is aggrivatingly spewing blood!

Is that an attempt at saying something witty or funny? :face:

If this is true, it is not that big a deal. If the playoffs were going on, he could play with a broken toe. I would keep him out until fully healthy. Maybe it will make sure the other lower body injury is fully healed too.

Which begs the question why he was on the PP if he wasn't 100%. Not that he isn't perfectly capable of attempting idiotic cross-ice passes when he's at full operational capability, but...

The biggest question is; do the Penguins pay Despre's milage and gas?

I know what you mean; I’m pretty much the same way. In my case, I think it’s a defense mechanism kicking in, the alternative being panic mode on an all-too-frequent basis. It’s hard to imagine a more star-crossed group than the Penguins--and I’m not just referring to this year, obviously.

I can't remember, is there a limit to how long a player must be on IR?

Maybe he didn't realize how swollen/painful it was until he took his skate off which could be why he played on it.

That's actually something I've never thought about. When a player is reassigned to WBS, I would think they would drive their own car back up there. That would be a long, long lonely ride along I-80

Timely advertising - the entry banner at the top of the Index was for a sandal by Keen - and the slogan was "Lightweight protection for a brave new toe".
