My biggest concern about Sid being out is his timing. Clearly, before this jaw thing, he was finally 100% back from all the concussion BS (obviously last year his timing was off when he came back). If he misses 6 or 8 weeks, it may take him a little bit to get his timing back, and that is certainly something that will be tough to deal with in the midst of a playoff run.

Thank god they didn't have to wire is jaw. Hopefully that gets him back on the ice by the end of the regular season, thus giving him a few games to shake off the rust.

I would be surprised if he isn't back before the playoffs even start. Guy has steel plates in his jaw...STEEL plates! Put on a shield, deal with the pain, and play.

If you want to believe him, Sutter will take over Crysby's spot.

And...... Kennedy is practicing between Kunitz and Dupuis. Why does anyone put Rossi on for "expert" analysis? Apparently his sources are rubbish and his opinions are worthless.

With Kennedy centering the top line at practice, I would GUESS that the team is expecting Sid back sooner rather than later. Reasoning: If he were going to be out for a long time, wouldn't Disco want to make the top line more of a...you know...top line?

Does this logic make sense?

I hope that's an April Fools joke. I know Kennedy was a center in juniors.Errey sais Dupuis played defense in juniors; that doesn't mean he should fill in forLetang or Martin.
We have 2 actual scratched centers. Dutter should play on the top line and Jeffery and Vitale should get shifts on the third line. Whichever of the 2 plays better stays at the 3rd line spot.

Unfortunately, not a joke.

As for Vitale, apparently odd man out again. Not participating in any drills.

Don't look now, he was just named first star for the month of March. 2nd Subban, 3rd Bobrovsky.

Keeping Malkin and Sutter with the guys they will be playing with in the playoffs is smart. Let those lines gel now.

I'd rather have Vitale center Kunitz and Dupuis because of faceoffs but speed wise Kennedy works just as good as Vitale.

Kennedy centering those 2 aren't gonna cost us in the long run and by keeping Sutter and Malkin with guys they will play with come playoffs (baring injuries) is a smart move because Sid will slide right back in with 14 and 9.

They also seem to forget how productive Kennedy was when given more responsibility during Crosby's concussion injury (after he came back from injury in feb.)

Except I heard Iginla got shot in the Hill District this morning. Details sketchy, but something about not knowing the area too well and making a wrong turn into a bad neighborhood with Hello Kitty flags on his car. :scared:
