Or we can trade for the whole Columbus Blue Jackets team.

Lol. Way to show hockey ignorance. I'd take Dubinsky, Anisimov, Foligno, Umberger, Letestu, Prospal, Calvert, Johansen, and Atkinson over just about everyone on our 4th line, plus TK.

MEH, our 4th line is doing their job at being fourth liners. We don't really need any of those guys

When the jaw is wired shut people tend to lose 10-20% body mass. This could be an issue unless they have a good plan.

I'm concerned that this cup run is in jeopardy, however there is hope that he can return playing with a cage I suppose.

If he has his jaw wires shut they will tube feed him until the wires come out.

With all the talent and firepower the team has, as well as the defense playing well, im not worried. Regular season means Jack...its all about that magic cup.

The other issue with jaw being wired shut is you can't work out. Basically you can't breath through your mouth so air is very limited. That's not good at all if he is indeed going to have to do that.

Can't workout and you can eat normal food. People lose a lot of weight with a broken jaw usually

The article mentions he'll have additional dental work done later this week. Would that be possible if his jaw had to be wired shut?

I still see him winning the Hart regardless of the Art Ross race. Who's to say Kunitz doesn't win it now? Hell Sid could come back with 3 games left and still win it. 10 points is going to happen for Stamkos but it may take him 10 games or more - hopefully.

He's lucky, tying Sid for the Rocket with an EN goal and now this. I guess he can be like Ovechkin and enjoy his personal awards from his couch come playoff time.

He'll be back in time for the next blue jersey game where he'll suffer some other freak injury.

iginla needs to stay with malkin so those 2 can gel. plus, that sutter line isn't going to be much of an offensive threat, even with iginla. it's a bit of a waste to put him there.

i bet it'll be same lineup as last night - just with jeffrey in sutter's spot and sutter in sid's

Patrick Eaves missed two months after he had surgery to repair his broken jaw. Back in time for conference finals, if we get that far?

This is unreal.

Yeah it's doesn't mean that much compared to the cup but it pisses me off if this costs him the Art Ross. Just so frustrating he can't catch a break.

didn't paul coffey break his jaw like 20 years ago and miss like a week? don't always expect that every injury is the worst case scenario. sid will be back when he's healthy enough to come back. this team is good enough to get by without him for a little bit.
