There is just no way TK can make 2M again next year. He's simply not worth it.

He's worth 2 million for a lot of teams, but not for what we need him for.

I think it was last season or the prior season that he logged a bunch of top 6 and PP minutes. He scored quite a few goals during that time frame. I am looking forward to this little experiment to see how he and that line perform. I bet they perform better than our third line but not as good as Malkin's line.

It was 2010-2011 when scored 20+ goals had 20+ assists and 7 PP goals.

He really is HCDB's little tiger

You are referring to a season where we had no Sid or Geno for the 2nd half and our top 6 for the last 2 months of the season was

Letestu Kovy Neal Staal TK and I don't even remember after Cooke got suspended. I think Adams?

He had to get those minutes and he earned them too at the time.

Thought this was a joke. Was disappointed. Hopefully that line doesn't get too many minutes.

I'd imagine they'll get between 2nd and 3rd line minutes, probably splitting with the Sutter/Morrow/Cooke line.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking. That would be fine. The line should be functional as long as TK remembers how to faceoff. When was the last time he was getting meaningful time doing that?

The success of the first line has been based on their speed and tenacious forecheck.

I feel Kennedy's skill set is our best option for this type of play.

I think it's a smart move by DB. Don't break up the lines, keep them as normal as possible.

This may sound odd, but I don't want Kennedy to change his style. When they put him on Malkin's wing to experiment earlier in the season, he forced passes and looked really out of his element. I think the incredible speed he brings combined with Kuny and Duper's speed will be overwhelming. Just let the speed work for the line, don't try and be creative like Sid.

Vitale is an interesting idea. Jumping Joe has scored some big goals of late, but before that... not so much. If TK struggles in this role, I would not be surprised to see Joe have a shot.

Fact is, Sid is irreplaceable, so this line needs to re-invent a huge part of itself and I think it will. Duper & Kunitz have showed their versatility and whatever option is used, I cannot seeing this line being a minus.

it'll be a minus if kennedy can't handle the 2-way game of a center. he's as responsible of a backchecker as you'll find, but i don't know if he can roam the D zone to pick up the garbage like a center should. i mean...they moved him to left wing this year for 5 seconds and his brain nearly exploded.

but i'm gonna guess this is all moot. despite the practice lines, bylsma seemed to state pretty conclusively that kennedy won't be centering this line.

So why would they practice lines that wont play together ? Doesnt make sense..

But TK if will play center spot with PD and CK can earn his new contract again.. I would let him go,just to re-sign Iggy or Morrow.

But wtf is Glass over Vitale again? Blysma this is crap..

That turned out as should have been expected.

However, that wasn't fair to TK. Carp all you want about Jeffrey, but he - unlike Kennedy - is actually capable of playing center in the NHL.

Dumb move by DB.

playing center? sure. in the nhl? debateable. jeffrey wasn't any better, and has a track record of sucking the life out of neal. Kennedy isn't the answer, but neither is jeffrey.

Wow, that was a bad experiment with Kennedy at center.

Let's not do that again, okay?
