So will the Pens be buyers or sellers tomorrow?

at least we didn't lose a game we should have won to end the streak.

pretty bad top to bottom, but this loss really doesn't say anything about this team. We don't have a player on this roster who can fill in for sid, and our 2 best d-men being out puts more weight on guys who can't really handle it (nisky and despres are currently 3rd pairing guys and it really showed tonight). Plus, Vokoun had a rough outing.

I think this is more the law of averages catching up with us.

Well, I'm just a tad pissed off. I'll get over it as soon as I finish this half-gallon of ice cream. Maybe even sooner, since it's rocky road. Aren't all roads to glory rocky in places?

Craptastic game. I guess it's good that they remember how much it sucks to lose, since the 7th or 8th seed, whoever they are, will give them all they can handle. Also, this BUF win hurts the Flyers.

Right? I don't get why people keep saying that crap. Morrow works hard in the corners and in front of the net. If you don't see his game presence you are blind.

Not having Sid turns us into a one line team as far as offense goes.

Not having Letang and Martin kills the transition game. Kills the offense.

3rd line looks like a good shut down line in playoffs.

Good grief. Steiggerflunk, Error, King and Caulfield refuse to make oneoobservation about bad play by the Pens.

A game like this was coming. The Pens weren't playing all that great aside from getting awesome goaltending lately.

Got that out of their system and ready for a big back to back against the Rangers.

You obviously didn't see him draw a penalty did you? In this game and the last game actually. In his first game he tied up 2 players to allow a pass through the crease for a goal. He works the boards and is using his body. He touches a guy in the back barely in this game, guy dives and get's a penalty.... Learn to watch hockey.

Last goal against was about half way through the 2nd against the Flyers, so he's right around 5 periods of shutout hockey.

Am I wrong in thinking these are the best lines for the playoffs?

Kunitz-Sid-Iginla
Morrow-Geno-Neal
Cooke-Sutter-Dupuis

That second line looked good for the game they were together. The spacing of the line just seemed to be right. It looked like tonight Neal kept floating to the RW and couldn't get comfortable on the left side. This also adds some speed and punch to the third line, while still giving Sid a guy who can cycle, playmake, and score, and do them all way better than Duper.

Tell me why you would break up Kunitz, Sid, and Dupius, AKA the best line in hockey?

This team had a lot of pieces added and a lot of people hurt. It's going to take some time to figure everything out.

Because I feel with Iginla they would be at least as good, probably better. I don't like the calibration of the Neal-Malkin-Iginla line. Malkin and Neal worked best together when they have someone on the left side creating space. Neal is also much better on the right side than he is on the left. Adding Dupuis to the third line gives the line a boost in both speed and scoring. I just think what I posted above is the most complete top 9 that we can make. It sucks Sid is injured and DB probably won't have a chance to experiment with lines before the playoffs.

I thought Neal-Malkin-Iginla was great tonight. Showed a lot of chemistry.
