I'm not sure Glass has a spot guaranteed if everyone is healthy.

I'd rather have Vitale play a 4th line role than Jokinen, though that seems unpossible at the moment.

The last time we played the 'Canes I think he had a goal and we heard his name called all night. He was everywhere.

I doubt it, but he's probably better off getting big minutes in WBS rather than playing 3rd/4th line or being benched.

Yeah, I guess there's a chance though. He'll probably get called up after WBS is eliminated and could find his way into the line-up if circumstances dictate.

If Glass gets scratched, is Jussi really slower than him? Pretty sure that's an upgrade.

Iginla will have no problem keeping up. Murray is what we needed, I'm willing to sacrifice some back end speed for what he brings. Nobody is asking him to lead the rush or even carry the puck.

Morrow is the only one that slows down our game a bit, however he brings other intangibles and from what I've seen so far, he doesn't look THAT bad.

any chance he sneak into the lineup in the playoffs and someone like glass/TK gets booted?

Does it matter?? Who cares really? This team is loading up for a Cup run. Bennett will have his time next season.

This. No room for him right now. That's not a bad thing. If he's getting top 9 minutes in a long cup run, things have gone horribly wrong.

Fine with it. Same thing happened to GoGo in 09 and it turned out just fine.

I don't know, a 3rd line with Morrow, Sutter and Bennett could be the best option leaving Cooke, Jokinen and Adams on the 4th. Vitale, Kennedy, Glass and Jeffrey the odd men out. Bennet is better than all 4 of them on the 3rd line.

Win 15, add a bunch of over-the-hill players, then wonder why the team stopped winning.

This seems like it would push him out of the lineup again. I'm not sure why else we would make this move.

Well I hope that bum is now a permanent playoff scratch with TK as a nacho pal. Jeffrey's a 13/14 forward who isn't good enough when you need him

I like this acquisition, because Jokinen (when healthy) is the type of player that can play on any of the four lines. He wins draws, kills penalties, and can score, although his 30 goal season a few years ago is looking more like an abberation. Great shootout specialist, though that matters not in the playoffs.

Depth in the bottom 6, and certainly a player who can put up 50+ points is a good fill-in for the top 6. If ahything, this is a replacement for Jeffrey or Glass. I love the fact that there are players competing for a jersey every night on that 4th line.

Maybe Shero adds him to add some depth until Sid comes back?

Kunitz - Iginla - Dupuis
Jokinen - Malkin - Neal
and so on...

Or maybe Ray owed Jim Rutherford a favor for Shero's robbing of him in the Staal trade? :pop:

people can say what they want about him being soft, he was far and away Carolina's best player when they last made the playoffs as i remember.

yep, put up 7 goals in 18 games last playoff appearance and 11 points

Bylsma says DJ is playing the best hockey of his career. He's immediately displaced by Jokinen.

The ever enigmatic HCDB, folks

I'm more qualified to be a chippndale dancer at age 65 than TK is to be an NHL center. Jeffrey's best hockey of his alleged NHL career is like going from a 1 ft high jump to a 2 ft high jump. I've said before he's not as good as Letestu but much softer. He's not nearly skilled enough to be such a candy-*ss

with the Pens using that company to analyze what players would work best in their system, in addition to their scouts, I'll trust the moves they make.

As much as I blast Glass, he can't be THAT bad if the team is in first place. He's obviously not holding them back.

I'm willing to give JJ a chance.
