Jokinen sucks, not really pleased about adding another euro to the mix, but for nothing it won't matter.

When it comes to centering Kunitz+Dupuis, Jokinen > Kennedy and Jeffrey. Simple stop-gap move by GMRS until Crosby can play again.

GIVE US ALL YOUR PLAYERS

-This guy is great at faceoffs
-Can play all three offensive positions
-Can score

Also, the Canes are eating salary.

I'm all for this. Good move.

Also, the Pens can buy him out for next year if need be. Absolutely zero risk.

I think this is a great stop gap until crosby is back. He'll ride the pine during the playoffs.

EDIT:
Heck why don't we just have Beau play first line center he seems to be more of a play maker already and it will give him time playing with some talent!! :scared: :scared: :pop:

Good move as a stopgap. Probably eats the nachos when Crosby is back.

Funny how this post is up at 1:27pm and the Pens official twitter sends it at 2:08pm. Shouldn't they know before the OP?

Great faceoff guy, can play on top lines in a pinch. Better than TK, Vitale, or DJ. Perfect temp replacement for Sid until he comes back, at which point will be a great 4th line/pk guy that can play 2nd pp if needed.

Guy plays his heart out each game, too. Not the most talented guy, but I'm pretty pumped about this move, at least in the short-term

This is a tremendous move that fills every last little gap of team weakness: pk/faceoffs/4th liner with skill/versatility. I'm sure Ray even gave some thought to picking him up on waivers before Sid got hurt, but this is obviously better with the $$ going back.

So nice to think of Glass finally on nacho duty. I'm giddy.

Eating nachos? Dude brings a thousand times more to the Penguins than the empty sweater that is Tanner Glass. Even if it's just for face offs he at least brings something. He has skill.

Jokinen has the top Corsi rating on the Canes.

Any chance he plays tonight? There's a 3:55 from Raleigh that gets in at 5:35 to NY

Absolutely. I'm surprised people think this a reactionary move to Sid's injury. This is the pk/faceoff/4th liner Ray's been looking for. The final piece!

I doubt it, but he's probably better off getting big minutes in WBS rather than playing 3rd/4th line or being benched.

Anyone know how the salary take back works? How does it come into play with buyouts? How much are they taking back?

I agree, there's our faceoff guy that we wanted. Plus he has skill, which is a bonus, especially if he ends up centering our 4th line.

I'm assuming they wait until final approval by the NHL. Rather be late than wrong.

I would hate to have a Bruins twitter/text/alert that told me Bruins got Iginla.
