Interesting, as I still believe the Pens only have three callups remaining before the playoffs. They can have unlimited players on the roster, but only 3 recalls are allowed.

The existing “Four Recall Rule” will continue to be applicable, but only during the period between the Trade Deadline and the end of the Regular Season. Following the conclusion of the NHL Regular Season, a Club may exercise an unlimited number of additional Regular Recalls provided that it may have no more than three (3) Players on its Active Roster who were recalled by way of Regular Recall after the Trade Deadline, unless the fourth Player had been recalled during the Regular Season in which case such Player may remain in the NHL.

I have no idea how to interpret that... it's like "you can only have 3 recalled players on your roster unless you recall 4 players". :?

That means they have unlimited recalls during the playoffs, but can only have 3 recalled players on the roster at one time. The exception is that they can have a fourth recalled player on the roster if he was recalled after the trade deadline, but before the playoffs began. I think...

im guessing hes called up until they know for sure about Neal's condition. If Neal is good to go on tuesday then he gets sent back down. We have seen this before so it doesnt necessarily mean Neal is out.

I'm thinking he doesn't play tomorrow...weak opponent who are struggling, so they give him some extra time

I expect him back April 17, just missing 3 games but will get 12 days rest to make sure everything is clear. Carolina, Tampa and Florida all suck, if Letang is back the defense can win those games.

I'm usually very optimistic about injuries but this one seems like a season ender to me. I think we can win a cup without Neal.

We all know how the Pens play on Florida road trips though.

Neal has a concussion and will miss the 3-game road trip, per coach Bylsma #Pens

We caught some breaks with getting on a roll where we were playing non-stop. Neal will have 12 days rest before the next home game.

the fact that he has been tweeting and evidently watching tv, makes me think its not nearly as bad as it could have been, hopefully thats correct and he can get back to playing in time for the playoffs

I hate to complain about injuries, but will it ever stop? I know that injuries happen, but the frequency and the fact that it always happens to some of our most important players is disturbing. This has been going on for 4 straight seasons now. It's frustrating and grueling and at times demoralizing.

Better now than 3 weeks from now.

Martin, Sid, Neal should all be back a few games before the playoffs. Neal maybe sooner if he has the standard 1-2 week concussion recovery.

this is seriously ****ing ridiculous. This team is cursed seriously, if the pens had healthly players the last few years who knows what we could have done but the injuries keep plaguing this team. IT NEVER stops

It's sad that one could say that this season actually has been a bit luckier than the last few. I'm presuming that at least Sid, Martin, and Letang, 3 of our 4 or 5 most valuable players, will come back strong for the playoffs. I'm staying optimistic on Neal.

I tend to be in a Pens bubble, but it does seem like we've had it bad.

I know everyone freaks when they hear the "C" word, and rightfully so, but maybe just maybe we can catch a break on this, and Neal will be back by the time for the playoffs. Just because you get a concussion doesn't mean you have to be out for months. They are all different, so lets hope Neal has one that is on the minor side.

There's a lot of doom and gloom in regards to Neal which I get but with that said a lot of players come back within 7-10 days. I'm hing Neal is the same, I would guess he wouldn't be tweeting if it was really serious. Also remember last year when he was out for 6 weeks with a broken foot and then was back the next day.
