I actually dreamt this last night...

Postby MarioLives on Sun Apr 07, 2013 3:27 pm

Game 7 Bruins at Pens, ECF. OT and Crosby scores a brilliant goal, camera pans to Jagr as he skates to the handshake line. Pens fans applaud Jagr as he exits the ice, burying the hatchett once and for all. they cheer louder as Crosby picks up the Eastern Conference trophy.....

Was Crosby wearing a full cage?
Could he speak after?
Was Malkin back to old form?
Has Iggy gelled yet?
Has Morrow gelled yet?
Was Despres in the line up?
Was Martin back to his old form after injury?
Who was in net and how did they play?
Was Kennedy scratched?
Was Letang playing?
Did crankshaft kill anybody?
Was Bennett playing?
Who was on the penalty kill?

Am I forgetting anyone or anything?

Interesting that Crosby picked up the Prince of Wales trophy. While it worked for him in 2009, tradition suggests against doing it. And Sid is all about tradition.

Pens are 3 and 0 in the cup final when the captain has picked up the Prince of Wales trophy. He will do it! Pens history>than NHL superstitions.

They left in on the table in 1991? Why the change in '92?

Sid wouldn't touch the Wales trophy in 2008. So, he was damn sure not to repeat that "mistake" in 2009.

I'd think CERV was doublewinder, but there are no percentages or questions about fan support... ; )

I support ML's dream. Now, please dream the same dream, except next time let me be there! : )

Exactly. If the Pens have won every time that trophy's been touched, you can bet your booty Sid would be a toucher. It's not a tradition, it's a superstition. And not all of the teams go by it.

Last dream I had about an NHL game had Chara checking a Islander so hard he flipped up and landed on his head and it popped clean off. I don't know if that would even be physically possible but it was a weird dream.

But he did it in 2009 because he didn't in 2008 and they lost. Thus, for Sid, tradition says picking up the trophy is the better choice.

There won't be a next time. Ovechkin will hoist the Prince of Wales trophy for the next 20 years!

Back in 09 I had a dream, and this during the 2nd round, that Hossa scored the GWG against us in Game 6 for Detroit. I was at the game in my dream and we were all devistated. True story. (well having the dream was a true story)

I dreamt Crosby picked up the Prince of Wales trophy and beat Jagr with it. Then he pulled out a hatchet and buried it for good in Jagr. Also the rest of the Bruins were cats.
