I don't know about you guys but i want blood. I want the Pens to leave a trail of destruction through the playoffs that makes up for the past 3 years of injuries and frustrations.

Whoever shows up at CEC in May, just know this... You are a corpse that just hasn't died yet...

Go Pens...

This is how I feel.

With everyone healthy I don't think there is a team in the NHL that can beat the Pens in a 7 game series.

Everyone repeat: IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER!
The year we won the Cup, we had some of the toughest match-ups
The past few years, we have lost early to bottom-feeders!

IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER!

The road to the cup will pass thru Montreal/Boston anyway.

IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER!

All the good looking girls are gonna go with the Camp Mohawk guys anyway, 'cause they got all the money!

IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER!

First of all, you dont LOSE games on purpose to acheive a more favorable playoff match up. That's absurd.

A few years ago we REALLY wanted the Lightning. We got them and we lost the series. The year before that we were thrilled that in Rd2 we got an anemic Montreal offense. They beat us. Last year we didnt want Philly but we got them, and they beat us.

Sometimes playing a rival gets you focused and playing your best. Downside is they are usually good and can beat you. If you get a "friendly" matchup sometimes you overlook that team. There are pitfalls everywhere. Just have to play solid no matter who it is.

Typically you look for the team with the worst goalie and would rather face that team. NYR has the best goalie so lets avoid them in rd1.

The Pens biggest threat is themselves. If they play as we know they can, let things fall as they may.
Some loopy Devils fan on HF said the Pens "wouldn't with the cup because they have to play Washington like they always do on the way to the cup" ...his odd superstitious thought...and at the time the Caps were worse off than they are now.

All I want: the Pens to wipe the floor with the east. Or league even. NO MERCY!

We've lost 10 games all year, and that was before we picked up 2 other teams captains. We also won most of those games without last years MVP. I'm not particularly concerned about any matchup in particular.

That said, only thing i am worried about is a hot goalie. I would rather face Lundqvist than a guy that wins 4-5 straight to make it into the playoffs.

Just so you guys know, 2 out of the 3 times the Pens have won a cup, a Terminator film was released that same summer.

Unfortunately, Terminator 5 is still a few years off.

Ontario is already going insane with all 3 of the Eastern teams likely to clinch playoff berths, barring an Ottawa collapse; and even Winnipeg is still in the running. I'd love to see Winnipeg muscle the Rags out.

Would just love to see the Rangers miss a playoff spot. and would like to see Winnipeg and the Islanders make it in. Get some new playoff blood.

At this point no real team scares me... The Rangers don't scare me but i don't want to see Tortarella do one of his media rants all series long.

I'm just glad that the Flyers look to be completely dead. If they had somehow snuck in as an 8 seed, I would have been absolutely terrified.

:thumb: I think the Pens handle the NYR fine, but I just hate watching the Rangers play, period. I don't want to see them and have to suffer through a series of their BS from the team and their HC. Let another team extinguish them. They aren't even like the Flyers' rivalry where you just cheer against anything opponent-related...Rangers just play really boring hockey, are drama queens, and I am sick of seeing them play at any time. F the Rags.

Jets and Isles making it would be nice, i agree. Get some of these old, tired teams that aren't going anywhere out of the picture. NJ had a miracle fluke last year but they still aren't much and let's get some new victims into the playoffs instead of hapless teams like NJ or NYR. Ottawa would be a nice story too.
