Molinari just tweeted games 1-6 will definitely be carried on Root Sports. Game 7, if played, would probably be picked up by NBC.

The switch was thrown in the third period against the Canes. Pens in five.

Yes it sucked, and as a 10 year old I cried that night, but this matchup is about now and now then.

Not for the team, but for the fan base... Yeah, it does.

I was well into my 20s and p***-drunk that entire night. Everyone I knew was in shock for a week.

I want to crush them. Obliterate them. They made me cry.

Damn you, Al Arbour.

Oh...I didn't really think of that to be honest, but I guess that's the idea...my ants-at-a-picnic response is: he's not on the roster, humbug...grumble...etc.

I wonder if they'll come within 5,000 people of selling out their home games.

Yes = Game 3 or 4 and/or things aren't going well

No = Penguins are manhandling the Isles and let him rest.

honestly unless the pens lost game 1 and or game 2 i would let crosby sit until round 2. We have more than enough talent to win this series without Sid so please dont come back unless you are 100%

No, NO, NO! Sitting him if he can play would be taking this team lightly and asking for disaster. If he can play, play him, Don't take anything for granted.

yeah, if he can Sid needs to play. They can't afford to think they can win on talent alone...we got swept by the Devils this season.

I can't remember any time when the media DID NOT talk about how the 1st seed should be careful of the 8th seed. We always hear "don't underestimate them(8th seeded team). Rubbish! Bah humbug! I don't know any other way to say that I do not by into to this. Everyone is saying the same thing about the Wild and Chicago. How this is a match-up the Hawks didn't want.

Are the Islanders a good team? Yeah, they've improved by leaps and bounds and are definitely a team you don't take lightly, but they are not a playoff team yet. I don't necessarily think every game of the series will be a cakewalk, but I don't see this lasting longer than five games in favor of the Penguins.

I actually wouldn't be shocked to see the Isles win game 1, the hockey media world and LGP explode, and then see the Pens win the next 4 convincingly. This team hasn't played a meaningful game in awhile and while the switch did appear to be on the 2nd half of last game, Bylsma was still tooling with lineups and honestly Peters just looked like absolute garbage. Nabokov gives us fits until we finally get one past him so I see it entirely possible Isles take a close game 1.

The days in between the last day of the regular season and the first playoff game double as my favorite/least favorite time of the year. So much excitement building but I also become a nervous wreck.

both games are pretty much entirely sold out already, at least online.

that being said i've learned from past experiences in new york if by chance the penguins win the first two games then the first game on the island will drop in price dramatically, if the pens somehow would go up 3 zip, game 4 tickets will be well under face value. at least this is how things went against the rangers years ago and the market should be much softer against the isles.

Why do people make such a big deal about Sid and Geno not scoring on Nabokov? He's played for NY just over a year, a lot of that time Sid had his concussion and before that, Nabby played for the freaking SHARKS. Who the Pens played once a year. It's not Marty and the Devils here.

The pens must pounce and rip the isles from get -go.
They have the players, the mentality, and the experience~ anyway NYI lines up, the pens will adjust. :!:

The only reason the isles even give me pause is because of Tavares. The kid is elite, and I hope he doesn't have his playoff coming out party against us. Well I guess he still can as long as we win the series haha.
