Any one have playoff routines or rituals you follow.
Got my penguins flag hanging like always. Tiki torches on the back porch. SOme food will rise to the top and be my playoff snack. This year i will try to keep it healthy. Phone will be by my side so i can text my friends during the game.
I always have my penguins jersey/hoodie combo on and I only eat during the intermissions when I can take it off. And, if the pens get behind by 2 or more goals I put the hood up and go into the "Dome of Solitude" until they decide to play winning hockey again.
I don't really. I'll go get a case of beer today and then stick with that beer for the duration of the playoffs. For continuity between being at the games and being at home, its probably best to get labatt.
If the Pens lose, I will throw away whatever handout given at that game. Towel, placard, whatever, it goes in the trash.
If the Pens win, I keep the handout. If it's a towel, I drape it over the back of my couch (I honestly can't remember how that one started). Anything else gets stacked on my desk at home or hung in my office cube.
The past few years, it's been 'find a bar in New Orleans that actually knows what hockey is' followed by a week of bribing our TV truck engineer to patch in Versus for 2nd round games. This year, the bribing will begin with Game 4 and hopefully end with Game 4.
- playoff beard officially starting today - seating during the game, if winning then status quo, if losing, change it up. - do not allow Pens bashers to be in the same room - be sure to not jinx things, talking about shutout while one happening, etc etc
