20 points in 21 playoff games. Tied for 7th in the league, first among defenseman. Four assists in the finals.

Only if he plays in the NHL. He's not eligible to play in the AHL. I think he misses the cut off by two weeks.

About 4 minutes left in Providence and Baby Penguins lead, 5-0. About to complete epic comeback from 3-0 deficit.

And did it without some pretty big guns which would be there if the pens weren't still in the playoffs.

He played 7 games for Portland in 09-10 so this might be his 4th season. if that is the case then he can go to the AHL even though he will still be 19 on Dec. 31. It's unfortunate he was born on Jan 16 or this wouldn't be an issue.

I believe 25 games qualifies as a season. So that little tryout they give 15/16 year olds doesn't count.

Pouliot's Hawks beat Harrington and Maatta's Knights, 2-1, and will be playing against Halfax in the championship game Sunday at 7. Dream game for scouts: Jones, MacKinnon, Drouin

Great write-up on London too, much of which focuses on Harrington: http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/jrhock ... 30085.html

I'll be watching tonight and will provide coverage and updates on Pouliot's play throughout the final game.

I work with a scout for the London Knights and he's very, very high on Harrington. He likes Maata too, but can't say enough about Harrington. Sadly the Bruins will be getting Seth Griffith next year who is another bright star in the making. I've been really impressed with Max Domi and will be curious to see if his size will be an issue once he reaches the NHL. I know Kane gets by with a lack of size, but I think Kane has a lot more top end talent than Domi.

The London Knights just pump out talent, period. It's crazy what a good job the Hunter brothers have done. To see the names that have come out of there and reached the NHL is astounding. My friend was pushing that they draft Eric Staal in 2000, being that he had watched him his whole life growing up in Thunder Bay, but they settled on some guy named Rick Nash instead. He seemed to work out okay for the Knights, as did Eric for the Petes.

The Hawks score twice in the 2nd to make it a game. Only 3-2 Halifax now.

Pouliot's offensive game looks impressive. He's led a couple rushes that led to scoring chances and one of the Hawks goals.

He was OK. He is a very gifted guy with the puck. Calm, slows the play to his desire when he has the puck. It's hard to judge his defensive game last night because Halifax seemed to have the edge at forward. I think he struggled a little and was caught backing in a little on one goal, but the goalie could have done better as well. He is an effortless skater with great hands.

He looks like a kid who can definitely be a Letang type replacement down the road, but I'm not sure if he will be as physical as Letang. To me, Letang's physical strength for his size and his willingness to hit make up for the odd mental lapse defensively. Not sure how physical this kid can be against men if he doesn't share Letang's commitment to strength and conditioning.

That's hard to know from watching him on TV.

To your point about physicality, I still wish they would have drafted Jacob Trouba instead of Pouliot. Trouba doesn't have Pouliot's wheels but he is bigger, more physical, and still adds some offensive ability to the back end.

Anyone else underwhelmed by Seth Jones?

Great Skater
Big Body
Good positional awareness

unimpressive offensive instincts
not an out of this world passer
