I still don't know why Ty Rattie's apparent goal was disallowed?

If it went in off the goalie's skate - and it did - why does it matter if he got a stick on it or not?

Great Skater
Big Body
Good positional awareness

unimpressive offensive instincts
not an out of this world passer

I live in Portland and just started following the Hawks. I'm not well versed enough to quote stats vs other top defensive prospects, but in the small sample size I saw - you basically nailed it. He's certainly a monster on the ice, and creates space offensively. However, it was rare that it materialized into a major chance. Every time he would skate up the ice with the puck, I would get excited, but he never took over the game. It might be interesting to see how he adjusts to the speed/size of the NHL

Hopefully this means even better things for Pouliot, who has looked pretty terrific offensively.

Because you shouldn't be allowed to throw the puck at the net with the hope that it bounces of the goalie on the way in.

So Harrington and Maata are on WBS now signing ATO's, Harrington is 20 but Maata is still 18, younger than Pouliot by about 7 months, since all three are signed by the Pens there's nothing stopping Pouliot from also signing an ATO, is there?
