So Corsby, Malkin, Iginla, Morrow, Dupuis, Kunitz, Martin, Cooke, Jokinen, Letang, Adams, and Eaton aren't enough?

Wow, I wish Shero would have beefed up our veteran leadership for just such an occasion...

Orpik is the leader of the defense, do you think his presence going missing would go unnoticed? Letang is the only defenseman that you mentioned and he doesn't wear the "A" on his jersey

Obviously the team thinks a lot more of him than some of you do.

Even with orpik out there should be more than enough leadership in that locker room.

I'm happy with surviving today and re-taking a series lead, personally. Not sure what kind of self loathing makes people wring their hands about a call that may or may not have been bad leading to a win, like that doesn't ever happen.

Still a possibility of a short series here. I'm good. And, actually, I'm going outside.

We need Orpik back dude. He is our best defensive defenseman and he does bring a lot to the locker room. We will write the ship once everyone is back. I have little doubt of that. Do we need to dig up this to jog your memory?

I find it funny how quickly people have gone from "LOL ORPIK IZ DA WURST" to "We need Orpik in the lineup".

Just making an observation. No need to read into my post.

Martin, Murray etc should be able to provide leadership in Orpiks absence.

Go ahead and search through my post history if you want. The Orpik haters are just as silly as the HCDB haters, TK haters, etc....

You would think that Orpik caused the season to collapse this year, but instead look at the results over the regular season. We won a lot of games with or without the trades.

As inconsistent as Orpik has been this year, his skating ability alone would be a welcomed addition vs the Isles speed.

Game 1: False sense of security--thought the rest of the series would be a cakewalk.
Game 2: Rude awakening--caught with their pants down but thought it was a fluke.
Game 3: Scales fall from their eyes--realize game 2 wasn’t a fluke.
Game 4: TBA

True, but you also don't have to wear a letter to be a leader.

Obviously the team thinks a lot more of him than some of you do.

He's the big toe of the defense.
