If the Pens win Game 5....

Postby shafnutz05 on Thu May 09, 2013 9:00 am

They will only have to win one of the two remaining games in the series to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Let that digest a bit...crazy, right? :thumb:

That's definitely one way of looking at it.

If they lose game 5, they only need to win 2 straight. Do you know how many times they did that in the regular season? Easy. Second round her we come!

So you're saying there's a chance? :D

From the way Iginla was talking, they've just been toying around with the Islanders. He sounds like the Pens are ready to hit that "ON" switch and quit toying with their food and just eat it already.

I'm pumped.

I think Vokoun is going to force the boys to simplify their game - limit mistakes. Love it.

I hope so. If the only change is Vokoun for Fleury and the team continues to play terrible hockey, the end result will likely be the same.

I have faith in Vokoun. With the Panthers he'd face up to 40+ shots a night and still manage to stop 38 of them. If he can do that, and the Pens can do their Offensive zone slaughterhouse, we'll be fine.

If the series continues to follow the current pattern with the teams swapping wins, Pens should take it in 7. I woke up confident today. Not sure why, considering I've been a bit down on the team (uncharacteristically of me) since Tuesday.

Pens take Game 5. 4-1. Tavares gets hurt and unlike the fans in New York we do not cheer (like they did when Sid took the puck to the throat)

Goals By
Malkin
Neal
Kennedy (Glass sits tonight-I hope--and NO! I am not a big Kennedy fan)
