Game 7 (if necessary) Start Time

Postby peterleefan on Thu May 09, 2013 10:39 am

I know that the start time for a possible game 7 is TBD but does anyone have any educated guesses if its more likely to be an NBC day game or an evening NBC Sports Network game?

Just trying to plan out the weekend.

Thanks

Pens will win the next two making this game not necessary. You just have to believe.

Its not about believing or not believing - its about being prepared.

Game six is saturday, correct? they couldn't make a game 7 the day after game 6, right?

but, as joey from friends would say; it's a moo point for the penguins. :P

Caps Rags are guaranteed to play Sunday for their game 6 so they should be getting the afternoon game. Most assume it will be in NBC Sportsnet Sunday night if necessary

If game 6 is either 4:30 or 7 start, game 7 sunday has to be a night game. They will put at least 24 hours between the 2 start times.

I heard that game 6 start time depends upon if the Sens win the series tonight or not. If they win then the Pens game 6 is at 4:00, if not then 7:00. So i assume then game 7 will be a night game.

There will be NO games on NBC this weekend because of the golf. I'm hoping if we have to play a game 7 that it's a 7:00 or later start so I can be back home and watching. Afternoon game would not be very helpful.

Its probably going to be a evening game because the game will switch cities and there would be such a short turnaround without it being a night game.

Perhaps. I don't believe they're required to though. I think it's 22 hours between start times. Meaning that we could play at 4:30 on Saturday, 3:00 on Sunday or some such.

Hopefully they just wrap this thing up in six and it won't matter...but...sigh...

Wouldn't it be the opposite, if there isn't a game for HNIC then the pens would play at 7....

Somewhat off-topic but how on earth are they going to sell tickets for game 7. Game 6 is Saturday night and to sell tickets for a game in less than a 24 hour span could cause problems.

Game 6 is Saturday at 7:00 per NHL.com. That means that game 7 (if necessary) would be played Sunday night as well.

How about any educated guesses on WHEN they will announce the start time? Can't imagine they will wait to see the outcome of game 6?

Took my daughter to NY last weekend as a surprise, and would LOVE to surprise her with game 7 tickets, but can only swing it if its NOT a 7pm start.

I would be nice to be back in friendly territory. While it was worth getting beer and popcorn thrown at us last weekend, I'd like to not make it a habit.

I sure hope the he** this game is NOT necessary.

Game 7 against these Islanders brings me back to 1993.

Since it's a 7 pm start on Saturday. To the best of my knowledge, the earliest they could start on Sunday is 5 pm. Which means, they probably will want to hit the 7 pm time slot again unfortunately for you...

With respect, I hope we don't have to worry about a game 7, but I'd imagine they have to see what happens tonight with the other series before they make the call. I'd guess late tonight or early Saturday you'll know...

I agree, I'd love to not even have the opportunity to make this trip! Going to the Caps/Rangers game tonight. She threatened to wear her Crosby jersey to that game! I guess this is what I get for bailing on LAST Friday nights game!

Anyone have any insight into why Game 6 and Game 7 are back-to-back? I've looked at the Consol schedule and there is nothing scheduled on Monday...

Just seems stupid (or par for the course for the League Office) to have 6 & 7 back-to-back...

We aren't the only series that would potentially have a back-to-back Games 6 and 7. Such is what happens when you play half a season starting in January.
