Team obviously played well, but Despres was a reason it did. Eaton was having a terrible series. He just couldn't keep up with the Isles speed and because of it the Pens really struggled to get the puck out of the zone when he was on the ice. Despres did a great job of going back, retrieving the puck, and making the play to get the puck out quickly. Its exactly what the team needed.

He had a great game! I'm so happy for him.

He just needs to develop a thicker skin.

9 points now and most folks think he's hurt. He's pretty good and if they move on he will take over a game or two in the next round.

Oh, and El Torro 2 for 3 with a dinger.

This game is why i still believe in Dan Bylsma. Everytime he makes me think it might be all over, he completely changes things and gets the team back on track. Makes me look like an idiot. Although... that isn't very hard.

Vokoun was awesome tonight. I thought he'd be good, but he was insanely good, especially in the first and on the Tavares shot. Didn't expect that from a guy who hadn't played in 3 weeks. I'd have been happy if we won 4-3.

Guys need to be in position to accept those pass and back check. Forwards were a mess games 2-4. Tonight looked like Penguins hockey. Despres looks really good playing Penguins hockey when the rest of th team does too.

Kudos to coaching staff for finally making necessary adjustments in the 2nd period - plus Vokoun was the difference tonight.

Malkin needs to learn not to retaliate.

Shots were still tied at 31. Quite high, but breakouts worked much better from 2nd period onwards, resulting in fewer turnovers. I liked lines too. If anything, I'd replace Adams with Jokinen - or Sutter with Jokinen, as he may not be available on saturday.

Kind of hope Pens would dress Steve McIntyre to teach Hamonic to behave.

I have a thing this Sat. night with little opportunity to sneak away and check the score. It's going to suck. Maybe it's for the best, because I'll be a basket case, especially if the Isles are goon city.

You guys here have to do work and get this done. I believe in you!

TV was great tonight, but shaky in the first. He was definitely fighting the puck a bit, but got through it unscathed. The team cleared every rebound he gave up...which would've been nice to see in games 2,3, and 4.

He was a calming influence in the 2nd and 3rd, and I think the team fed off it. His save on JT was spectacular!

Solid team effort tonight. Now rather, rinse, repeat on Saturday.
