Remember kids........every Pittsburgh Islander Series has gone the distance whether it be best of 5 or 7, we all know how they have turned out......I am hoping this will be different

I had to stay away from the GDT I was so jammed up all day. Now I can enjoy going back and reading through what I'm guessing are 95% positive comments (5% murphydump/"Geno needs to calm down" I'm guessing).

Just everything we knew they could be. Sid/Geno - leadership and bossing the game like we know they can.

TK - taking his chance and nailing it. Great attitude. Good on him.

Vokoun - several key saves. The difference, obviously.

Depres/Letang worked surprisingly well. That was a not-so-obvious move to go back to Depres after his rough debut. Solid game from him.

Let's do it again Saturday night, Pens!

As Grover just said, that goes right up there as maybe his best goal ever. Sick.

Also, Grover bringing the knowledge. First Pen goalie to get a shutout on his playoff debut since...........Tugger in 2000 against the Caps.

Whenever Crosby talks and opens his mouth I look in and try to figure out what's going on in there.

Lots of credit for TK too. He's always been a good playoff performer. His moving his feet showed how the rest of the team wasn't playing at top gear. Probably another guy that should be a mainstay from now on. They need that energy.

So, I made it home safe and sound. The dude that took a run at me was actaully allowed back in the bar because he offered to buy me a beer. He did, and my stories about being totally humiliated in '75, '82, and '93 calmed him down. Believe it or not, I think he can actually be called a positive acquaintance now.

You just have to explain to folks it's not personal it's fandom. The isles fans got a big kick out of my Pitt/WVU stories. Especialy the one where my bro punched me in the mouth for attending Pitt.

Hey, you gotta be a fan no matter who your allegiance is for. :)

Here to bring the glass half full:
Islanders need to win back to backs with little rest, a shaky goalie and no real backup. We have a second goalie who will be coming in hungry with rest if need be.

Well, I jumped on somewhere around page 45 and saw the aftermath of the Geno stuff and assume people were rough on him.

Stuff looks pretty effed. I'm guessing he'll be having some kind of reconstructive surgery in the offseason, because it kind of looks like he has multiple rows of teeth like Beldar or some alien thing going on.

I do this too.

Nice to see sanity return to the Penguins in the second. This team is incredible when it's not giving up the puck. The Pens have to stop flirting with disaster and keep playing this way.

There weren't really enough shifts to properly evaluate, but Iginla seemed to have an immediate awareness of Sid; the natural inclination is to link that to 2010 of course. I look forward to seeing more if they start game 6 together.

He said something like:

"I am not going to comment on the lineup"

*pause*

*shifts around*

"But he played great"
