This. Personally, I wholeheartedly supported the switch to Vokoun this past week. But to start the next series, I'm ready to roll with whoever gets the nod. The fact is we're going to need Fleury. At some point, he's got to get back up on the horse. Game 1 is probably the "safest" one in which to do that.

Not everyone has to like it, but I say, if he's in, then suck it up and support him. If he's not, then that's OK, too. Maybe if Fleury's in, then the Sens will think it's open season on penguins, play stupid, and end up fools in the end.

New series, ladies and gentlemen!

I'm becoming enamored of the idea that the Sens will relax and play stupid if Flower's in the cage. At your peril, Sens. At your peril.

We are going to need Fleury simply because Vokoun is old. I don't think he can play this often at his age. We have to be careful to not run him into the ground and get the Vokoun of mid season.

If Sens play Isles game, trouble.

Doubt they will.

Pens in 6.

I've read the clips and heard the interviews as well - I did not see any of this. In fact it was mostly cliche stuff "yeah he did well back there." Stuff you hear every time a team wins a game actually. Turning the puck over trying to make a 100 ft pass does not require a confidence or lack of confidence in your goalie.

Tyler Kennedy with a game winning goal and an assist on the game winning goal.

Way to show up big when it counts.

He ain't that old. I think they can count on a 36 year old to start for the foreseeable future.

They're going to turn to Fleury again, eventually. If this first round was an indication, they will at some point need another spark because they can't be bothered to bring a playoff quality effort every game. Fleury will be needed to spark the team again, hopefully he's up to the challenge when he's called on.

There's just zero point in going back to Fleury when it's not needed. Vokoun had two strong efforts to close out this series. Fleury is now in his fourth straight playoff of substandard play. Don't go back to that just because you "think" Vokoun might get run down. Run him down into the ground! As long as he's effective. I don't want them playing around with the goalies when they have something working now. Worry about going back to Fleury when it's needed. The last thing they need is getting behind Ottawa because of a spaztastic effort from Fleury.

They shouldn't be worrying about hurting Fleury's feelings and they shouldn't even be worried that they're straining things with their franchise goalie. Who's to say he's even that anymore.

He'll get some time off here. I'm not saying Fleury won't play but I'd ride Vokoun for game 1 and maybe 2.

TK shows up vs. the Sens often.

A saunter around various boards has yielded early predictions that the Pens are going to get crushed.

Likely same boards that said Pens would crush Isles.

Nobody knows schquat.
