Find some durkee sauce mix with your preference of hot sauce and butter and use this as your chicken wing sauce. Thank me later, it'll make you famous.

Wrap cocktail weiners in bacon and sprinkle with brown sugar and pop 'em in the oven.

The Snapshot wrote:Balut – Duck Fetus

Balut is a fertilized duck egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. They are considered delicacies of Asia and especially the Philippines, Cambodia, and Vietnam and at Penguin Game viewing parties in NJ. Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack, balut are mostly sold by street vendors at night in the regions where they are available. They are often served with beer. Michael, from WeirdMeat, describes the experience thus:

After you choose what kind you want, the vendor grabs them piping hot from the basket and passes you a little stool, salt, and a vinegar-onion sauce. You hold the hot egg and flick carefully but forcefully at the top of it with your middle finger. It cracks a bit and you gently remove a small hole from the top, so you can sip the savory broth before removing the whole shell. I agree that the 18-day one is better than the younger ones. You might come across some small chunkies but it’s usually just eaten all the way through, in about 3 mouthful bites. You can see feathers, head, wings, and skeleton forming, but it’s basically an extra-chewy easter egg.

Fertilized duck eggs are kept warm in the sun and stored in baskets to retain warmth. After nine days, the eggs are held to a light to reveal the embryo inside. Approximately eight days later the balut are ready to be cooked, sold, and eaten.

Hilarious. Well done.

It's amazing how mad the mother duck's get when I am gathering the eggs. I've had to whack a few of them too.

The chipped beef and balut are equal on the unappetizing appetizer scale...

I know it sounds ridiculous but I am too nervous to eat before playoff games. I save a ton of money when I attend my game each round. If they are winning big, I will realize in the third period I am starving and go and get nachos.

Taco cups.

Fill Tostito Scoops with prepared taco meat, top with shredded cheese and half a Jalapeno wheel. Bake in oven until cheese is melted. Optional...top with shredded lettuce and/or tomato.

Crowd pleaser every time I've served them.

Not as overrated as buffalo chicken dip :pop:

Sounds like a winner!!!! Will try that for sure. My friend made something with Jalopenos and like a bread filling and cheese but wasn't that good. This sounds like it will blow that out of the water.

The only advice I will give you is to wear gloves when you halve, de-seed, and handle the raw jalapenos. The liquid fire within is impossible to wash off and if you accidentally touch your face/eyes, you will be extremely sad panda. I made that mistake once and only once.

Pulling out gloves for jalapenos is like wearing ear plugs to a Pittsburgh Power game.

It's good, but I agree. It isn't "This is best dip I've ever eaten in my life!" good.

The deal with the dips may be what kind you have had. I've had 7 layer taco dip from the store that was not good and had homemade 7 layer dip that was awesome. I've had buffalo chicken dip that I didn't like but I know I could make a delicious version of it myself.

I'm on a no carb / ketogenic diet so the jalapeno bacon wraps are for me. I also make stuffed banana peppers (plus some other random hot peppers they have). Filling = sausage (a batch of hot Italian, a batch of sweet Italian with sweet peppers and cheese (whatever you like, pepperjack, cheddar, doesn't matter it's cheese and it's good) Sometimes I mix shredded cheese in with the sausage, or I just cut slivers to jam in there, it all melts. That's it. Bake for about 20 -25 minutes and the goodness is yours. You can put bacon on them too if you want. Can't go wrong with bacon.

If you are adventurous, put a habernero or two in there but make sure people know where they are so they don't go scarfing them down all willy nilly. (I had a friend who thought it was just a hunk of sausage with orange cheese eat one and I thought he was going to die. Hilarious? Yes. But I was worried for a while when he couldn't breath very well.

Put some toilet paper in the fridge for the next day though.
