Anyone have any opinion on O'Halloran and Lee vis-a-vis their ability to call a tight game and keep things from getting out of control?

My thinking is that the tighter the game is called, the better the Pens chances since their special teams play has been so good as of late.

Both Lee and O'Halloran were relatively middle of the road in terms of minor penalties called. LaRue called 232 minors in 42 games which was the lowest one any ref with 40 games plus officiated, and Kozari called 412 minors in 43 games (!). No one else had more than 376.

O'Halloran called 305 minors in 43 games and Lee 324 in 42.

See Letang and Adams not at morning skate. No update on status of the two from Dave Molinari at PG. http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/spo ... te-688013/

I wouldn't mind Jokinen in for Adams, but if Letang is out, I will be concerned.

Also, I really don't understand why we are going back to Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis and Neal-Malkin-Iginla. DB puzzles me...

Crosby needs Kunitz to give him space and for some protection. I'm fine with that Whichever line Kunitz is on will produce the most. Iginla will just have to make due with Malkin and Neal.

I'll be in my normal seat in 231.
Except for Neil, and maybe Phillips, I don't see any of the Sens getting out of hand. That said, a real tight game or a blow-out could make things interesting.

If the team is winning, who cares what the line combinations are?

Having Kunitz or Iginla on either line is like 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. It really doesn't make that much of a difference.

Because I don't really feel like driving a half hour home then 4 hours to Pittsburgh when i've only been home 1 of the last 5 weekends.

As long as we keep winning, I don't care about the line combinations. I just believe the team has the best chance to win with Dupuis-Crosby-Ingina and Kunitz-Malkin-Neal.

Obviously, I'm not the coach; I guess I just need to trust the people getting paid to make these decisions.

I think it makes a huge difference for specific players. Iginla needs to be on the right wing and that line with him and Dupuis was awesome; they generated plenty of chances. Why change the lines when if they won? What, because Sid didn't register a point?

The line combinations can be very important.

Iginla played with Malkin and Neal (on the RW) for the last half of game 1.

Really, it's not as big of a deal as people are making it. It literally means nothing. Both lines can function with Kunitz and/or Iginla.

I have it from eyewitnesses that some of the Key Sens were out getting bombed on Wednesday and behaving like they aren't taking this too seriously.

I say we hang a 7 on them tonight.
