Re-signing him is certainly not a priority, maybe not even a consideration. Only if he's willing to play for small change.

People calling for Fleury, LOL. Vokoun had a better game than Fleury had in game 2 or 3, and far better than game 4.

Hopefully he can win a cup this year and he can retire a champion.

I'm with the sit Engo and also the play Jussi crowd. I'd like to see Depres but I I'd even rather see Borts over Engo.

Um, how was the first one bad, except on the Pens defense for letting them throw the puck across the paint to an unmolested player?

Vokoun's positioning was bad

Way to play 20 mins...
Thanks HCDB for taking the foot off the gas...
Nothing better than giving a 10 year old goalie and his crap team nothing but confidence... For 40 mins.

Even if they win the cup DB should be fired.

I'm not asking him to split the freaking atom.
I'm asking him to freaking coach.

As for morrow? Look at his ice time.

Nice to see Morrow make an impact and open his playoff account. I actually thought Sutter was decent in this one. Pretty good game for the bottom 6 really.

Still too many sloppy plays, but this game wasn't that close. Could have been 6 or 7.

Impressed with Greening. Tough human.

Vokoun with an old school MAF game. Some iffy plays, some big stops, and I would still start him in G3.

3rd time they've chased a goalie. Still have played their "A" game for 60.

Amazing that people can even entertain the notion of going back to Fleury. Koun was mediocre, but still made the necessary saves to win, that's what good goalies do. We should go back to Fleury because Vokoun didn't look good enough while winning his 4th comsecutive start? Get real.

I know, I don't know what the problem is. Ottawa was never a threat. I didn't like 1 Vokoun goal and he looked a bit shaky, but still did his job. We didn't even play that well and still won. Only thing is we don't want to fall into bad habits, but we also probably don't want to burn ourselves out on a crappy opponent. I'm fine for now.

Koun's SV% was still above .900. He was good--enough.

The next time Engelland touches the ice for a shift will be one too many. Dude needs to develop a healthy diet of nachos.

Good win, the Senators can't match any part of our game, really.

Foot off the gas is the biggest myth in hockey. It's never going to be pedal to the medal for a full 60 minutes.

Both teams are professionals. Every game has shifts in momentum. It's just way more noticeable when you come out firing cause it's impossible to sustain that all game long.

Lehner kept this game closer than what it was.

That was choke-hold shift by #10 to crush any late game charge by the Sens. I'd really like to see him play with a real center....

Morrow is tougher than leather

Morrow's found his niche on this team as a crash-and-bang 3rd liner.

And the Pirates win as well; or rather, the Astros lose. Only the Astros lose in that fashion.

Exactly. Lehner won't win 30 games in his entire career and the lack of effort and coaching made him look like dryden... This team had better learn to put teams away.
