Malkin was incredible tonight. Unfortunately, Anderson was better.

thanks a lot Dan. should be up 3-0

They had no pressure on them. All they had to do was hang onto the puck in their zone.

Kunitz carried it and chipped it softly with no help. Whose fault is that?

Byslma's for telling his team to play defensively. If they weren't playing defensively then he would have had support.

By the same token, if he doesn't try to go one on four, we run out the clock and win the game.

I have said this all year. There is only one team that can beat the Penguins 4 times...themselves.

Iginla and Morrow switched lines to start 2ot. Hopefully Bysma stays with that. Give Malkin an inch or two more room out there and he's got a hat trick... Iginla is useless at even strength, and redundant on the powerplay.

Are you people so soff that you are actually worried the Pens will lose this series? Come on sons. Anderson can't steal 3 more games. That is the only hope that Ottawa has.

I agree. Malkin and letang passed it to each other twice behind their own goal with ZERO pressure, and then for some reason they decided to start a breakout with thirty seconds left in the game.

I'm back to ask:

Sens: Momentum or are they going to be fried for game 4?

I got the sens that they gave this all they had and might have nothing left for game 4. But there's another long layoff between games, right?

Now we have another week of this #peskysens BS.

Tough team loss tonight. Combination of the penguins not making great choices offensively, and Anderson playing great. People blaming Bylsma and Vokoun are stupid. I expected more from Crosby tonight, too.

The good news is, I guess, that if the Pens were going to lose a double OT game, tonight would be the one. The pens mainly have been dominating play against Ottawa, and I don't think tonight's loss will change the outcome of the series.

This is not the end of the playoffs for us. Tough loss for sure, but NOT the end of the world. Still up 2-1. Still have home ice. No major injuries. I'd say we are in real good shape going into game 4.

We played 100X better in this game than we did in any game during the Islanders series. MUCH better. If this is how we are going to play, we will win this series.

Since Bylsma loves to switch lines so much, he might as well put Kunitz with whichever one of Malkin/Crosby is on.

This is so typical. We play wonderful 3rd period hockey and shut down their team and STILL find a way to blow it.

Lol, this team is going nowhere with play like that.

Props to Anderson, he stole that one. I think we all figured he would steal one in this series, coming into it.

On to game 4, Pens will be fine.

Yeah, if Ott lost tonight, they would be pretty sure this series is just about over. This gives them life, but it doesn't seem like they have what it takes to win this series.

Can't win em all. Pens played well. Ottawa played insane.

To be perfectly blunt, Ottawa had to play with everything they had to eek out a win at home. Literally had to play perfect. And the Pens were still 30 seconds away from winning the game.

Pens in 5. Ottawa simply can't do this more than a game or two.

Agreed. Really happy with the Pens' play tonight. This might be Alfie's swan song. Pens in 5.

I actually loved that the Pens weren't pressing on the power play at the end of regulation. They were eating time and that was great. Personnel, however, is just... the biggest coaching mistake of the playoffs. Bylsma has been pretty goddamn smart about stuff so far, but if some of the powerplays the Pens had in the Isles series where they were up by 1 or 1 weren't enough, I hope this is.

Malkin and Letang simply don't have the closer's mentality. I love everything they do because it always outweighs the negatives, but the two of them are putrid with a lead.
