I'd appreciate it if we moved this discussion to the "Post Stanley Cup Parade, Pre-Free Agency" Thread.

Thank you

It goes with a movie reference and the OP's username.

Not saying you are wrong but you have to do some things from time to time to earn others respect. See the GDT rules page.

Since when did the OP do anything to earn respect? Every post he makes is a tired effort at ironic disrespect.

I guess that holds some sway in the interwebz, but for most people, it just comes across as foolish.

He lost me at earning respect. Half the posters on here are nothing but disrespectful to others, yet they are respected only within their own world here. Kind of sad really.

I don't know about that. The Krug and Bartkowski kids have played pretty good. And the Bartkowski kid playing in his home town against his hometown team, that sounds like a dream situation.

Eh, sounds kind of like a nightmare to me. Not everybody holds up well to that kind of pressure. The Penguins will be absolutely flying playing a team they've had success against--I cannot wait.

Idoit40fans wrote:Since it is a foregone conclusion that this series will happen, I figured it was time to make this thread. The Rangers seem to have absolutely nothing to give to the playoffs and only advanced because they faced a team that was somehow less deserving of being in the playoffs. The Sens barely managed to fluke a win(which was more a pens loss) in one home game and got annihilated in the other home game. They will not survive game 5.

I think going into the playoffs, a lot of people would have predicted this matchup in the finals and after first round scares, it looks like each team should have a good amount of rest before the conference finals. I think the Pens may have a slight advantage simply due to the fact that its likely for the two teams to have a similar amount of rest but the Pens actually faced some degree of resistance during their series. Thoughts?

Really?

Just to recap. The Pens have previously faced the B's 4 times in NHL playoff history. Got swept in the conference semis in 79, then got beat in the first round 3-2 in 80. They then won 4-2 in the conference finals in 91 before including them in sweeping the second half of the playoffs in 92, beating them in the conference finals again.
