Then we could have Giggy and Iggy. Will Smith's head will explode.

Plus, we can re-sign Kennedy, and he looks like a piggy.

It maybe and if so I apologize, it just wouldn't surprise me then if there was a topic like this: "I hear AO is tired of losing and wants to play for a winner, It was said the Pens would be interested, what do you think it would take for the Pens to get AO?"

You'd have to get salary back.

Perhaps Patrick Roy's jock hanging from the rafters at the United Center coming our way would do the trick?

Only because this playoff layoff is making me crazy, I'll bite.

Malkin to Colorado for first pick. Pens select Cole Harbour Nathan MacKinnon to be the 2nd line center behind Cole Harbour's Sidney Crosby. Pens get 3 years of greatly reduced rookie salary, lose a bunch of crazy highlight real goals, get equal or better defence and win 3 more cups!

Remember, I'm self admitted crazy with no Pens playoff hockey.

Because I don't see how the Pens can afford to pay Crosby (8.7), Malkin (est. 9-10), Letang (est. 6.5-7.5), and Neal (5) almost half of their salary cap moving forward? Yes I know that Letang and Malkin are still signed at their current price through next year.

It's not pleasant to think about, but something's got to give.

What else would we have to give besides Letang to get Seth Jones. Serious question... I'd lose my mind if we could get Jones

In all honesty, they would have to add. The odds are that Jones never becomes anywhere near as good as Letang. The "evening out" part is the contract situation. But the Avs would be foolish not to do this unless they know for sure Letang wouldn't sign with them. In all your hope of hopes, you can't expect your first round pick defenseman to turn into a perennial Norris candidate.

Needless to say, I wouldn't touch that deal in a thousand years.

It will be rough for 2 or 3 seasons but the cap will rise and those players will still be in their early 30's..plenty left in the tank for todays athlete.
