I told them that the needn't worry about the Pens. That the Pens would be playing the Kings in the SCF. :fist: Also, I guess they think LA is a slam dunk for their Hawks. NOT. But then again, Boston is no slam dunk for the Pens either. But I do like the Pens chances against the Bruins more than the Hawks chances against the Kings.

If I were a betting man, and I am, I would bet $100 on the Kings beating the Hawks, and I did.

What is the line on that?

Good luck I40F! By betting on the LA/Chi series and not the Pit/Bos series I see that you're betting with your head and not your heart. Good move!

I never bet on my teams just like I never fantasy draft players on my favorite teams. :pop: Cowboys don't count because thats NFL and its a 16 day a year fandom. :pop:

Just checked and here are the odds.

According to odds released by the LVH SuperBook.

The Blackhawks are -145 to advance. Their opponents, the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings, are +125.

Whatever that means. As you can see, I'm NOT a betting man.

-145 means you would have to bet $145 on Chicago for a chance to win $100. Conversely +125 means that if you bet $100 on LA, you would have the chance to win $125.

Of course you don't have to bet based on $100, but thats the simple way to look at the money lines.

Don't like the Kings bet at all. Their true price was somewhere around +150 before game 1. If you wanted to bet the Kings, the optimal line would be to wait until after game 1, and possibly also game 2, and then take them on the handicap. Kings +1.5 was +110 after game 1 and is +220 today. Downside to this strategy is that the Kings might win one of the games in Chicago, but no bet is better than a bad bet.
