I knew the answers I'd get the moment I hit "submit." I left it as is, because I'm an LGP team player like that. :fist:

I just remember being shocked by his 1991 guarantee and amazed by the turnaround in that series. My favorite Pen in those days. :D

He made that guarantee after two competitive games in Boston, not after being outscored 9-1 in two home games.

I say that the Pens still have a chance to come back. Again, as I said yesterday, all they have to do is look at the game films from March, when they didn't loose a game. They played good solid defense, and supported their goaltender. They didn't think offense first, they though defense. The goals came from good defensive play, not from trying a frontal assault when the other team has a Maginot Line erected in front of you. This is also pretty much how they won a couple of springs ago when Crosby and Malkin were both out. Doesn't anyone on the coaching staff notice that. Or is Crosby like his boss, 66, and just like to go out and play like its a pick-up game.

Oh, I know, eddie. I remember game 1 being more competitive than the score showed, and yes, those first two games were away. But I also remember my friends, family, and I feeling absolutely dejected after those first two games, because it seemed that the 1991 ECF iteration of Our Game, while really good, just wasn't going to be good enough. This year, we know the Pens are better than they've shown--at least I feel that way.

Wow, that's a really good one, Guinness! Good use of it, too!

I know Hawkeye said it, but I'll be completely honest and fess up that I don't recall the context. I'm disappointed in myself!
