JetBlue pilot compares Sid to a baby during flight

During a Tuesday morning flight from Pittsburgh to Boston, a JetBlue pilot took to the intercom to address a crying baby with passengers, many of whom were members of the sports media.

"'Is that Sidney Crosby in the back crying?' - Pilot of flight to Boston this morning, clearly pleased with his #Bruins," tweeted Arpon Basu, managing editor at LNH.com.

"Baby crying in back of Jet Blue flight packed w/Boston media. Pilot just got on intercom and asked if 'Sidney Crosby was in the back crying,'" tweeted Joe Haggerty of Comcast SportsNet.

Yeah the fact that legitimate news sources are talking about this is really annoying. I get that it's funny to the Sid-haters but when I saw ESPN tweet it I wanted to throw up. The Sid hate over the last few days is out of control, I know the anti-Sid sentiment wasn't exactly scarce before but it seems like literally EVERYONE outside of Pittsburgh has jumped on the "Sid is a crybaby" bandwagon over the last few days.

Shame, too. Seemed like he had finally shaken the whiner reputation that had stuck to him for so long. I honestly don't care anymore, Cooke, Crosby, whomever any fan wants to hate is fine with me. Win a Stanley Cup and you can call Malkin a lizard person for all I care.

Yeah, I wouldn't care either...if we were winning. But we're not, which makes it THAT much worse.

Focus on the positive. Think about how Boston fans will feel when such a sissy leads the Pens to an unprecedented comeback. :thumb:

thanks~ that made me laugh.

Well now, Sid could make that pilot very blue. Beyond all of the things that have happened to Sid since 1/1/11; I don't know how he handles his name/himself being a buzz button for almost any topic.

It's all in good fun, at least as much as sports usually is...

Really though, right now Sid deserves all the jabs and criticisms people throw out here. He's been terrible. And he's lead this team into the land of terribles.

There's only one thing for him to do: tear the bruins apart.

I usually defend Sid in arguements against the whiner / diver label. I have not been able to defend his whining in this series with my two buddies in Boston.
