Watching a replay of that game (debacle) must have been a sobering experience for all concerned. If that didn’t slap them up the side of the head and infuse them with resolve to start playing hockey in earnest, nothing will. Talk is cheap; it’s all about actions now. I believe this team is fully capable of turning things around, but first they have to show up.

Sobering? That game begged for some epic drunk posting. : )

That sounds like Prima Donna talk there. Maybe they do feel entitled? The Bruins have dominated the Pens, the Pens have not given them anything. Boston has taken it from them, so far.

If they feel that entitled, then I seriously hope they get smacked around some more. The first game was good, save for the mistakes that cost them. The second game? The Pens flat out quit.

These things shouldn't be happening one series away from the SC.

Nice to see Letang is able to identify the problem.

But then, even us stupid fans can do that much.

Let's see him (and them) put his money where his mouth is. Which he (and they) can do since unlike us stupid fans, he (and they) are actually able to FIX this problem.

That's the hard part for Letang and many other star players. Letang struggles when he tries to do too much. Putting his money where his mouth is actually means, to me, doing less. That goes for Sid and Geno too. They have to keep it simple and let the game come to them a bit more.

Was he really trying to spring Orpik on a breakaway with that high risk pass in the last game, or just trying to clear the puck? Because with all due respect to Orpik, that seems really dumb.

If Letang and the team truely believe this than game 3 is already lost and this series will be over in 4.

Letang: "we gave them the chest pain" when responding to a reporter's question as to why Penguins fans are suddenly feeling ill after watching the past two Conference Final debacles.

He quickly followed that by saying, "whatever ails you is certain to make you stronger, and the team plans to be Dr. Feelgood from here on out."

hes not wrong, the pens hurt themselves more than the Bruins created anything. How many of those goals were off horrible and stupid plays by the pens that could have been avoided? a Lot.

Play smart we win, play dumb we lose

Game 1, we out played them, had a ton of quality scoring chances, they got the bounces and scored the goals.

Game 2, they learned from their mistakes and shut us down with solid defence. Pushed us to the out side limited quality scoring chances.

Letang has been awful lately. When you are a offensive defensemen, and you have been responsible for more goals against than for ... then something needs to change.

Pretty interested article on Letang here --> BENCH LETANG
