I agree with the decision, same choice I would have made as a HC.
MAF is probably done in Pittsburgh and that kind of sucks but is reality. Any goaltender who is a significant part of winning a SC was obviously "elite" at that time, but his game has fallen apart in the playoffs too frequently since then. Game 4 vs. the Isles was just inexcusable. I'll miss the guy and thank him greatly for everything he brought to the Pens his whole career, especially when he was being ping-ponged back and forth from the minors to the NHL at the start of his career and keeping a good attitude, but it appears the Pens and MAF will be moving on in different directions after this season ends.
