I can't see them mounting a comeback since it would take a total reversal of fortunate 4 straight games (offensively). I'm happy the effort was there last night. I'll watch Game 4 and any other games they manage to scrap out. If they can prove me wrong, I'll be one delighted fan. One thing I thought about any of the 4 teams left was that they were each scary enough to just not lose again and lift the Cup. I still think that about all 4 teams, but I'm not seeing how we overcome the historical odds, let alone the actual team that is the opponent which is in the way all the time in the offensive zone, forcing diminished chances and even less second chances.
The pens will comeback folks. They have to start small. Win shifts, then work the powerplay (and hopefully score), stop their powerplay, win a period and so on. No way this team has gone this bad. The bruins got in their heads early and messed them up. Last night's effort looked like the effort we all expected from the pens.
I believe in this team. They will do this. No need to leave them now. Find all the good karma you can muster and root like hell tomorrow. BTW i will be at the glory days in herndon, va tomorrow. Would love to see a few pens in attenadance.
This is a team that won 15 games in a row this season. I know the chances of them coming back are incredibly slim. However, how many teams that have gone into an 0-3 hole in the playoffs have the roster, the superstars, the winning streaks, that these Penguins do? I'm willing to bet very few.
My mindset? Let's win one game. Just one. Then let's see what happens. This could be the last hockey the Penguins play for months--let's hope they get one more game at home.
