His play tonight bit the big one as well. I lost count of the number of "Jesus Christ, Letangs!" I yelled.

I can remember thinking when the pens got Iginla, that's not necessary. It's gonna do more harm than help.

This was a **** of monumental proportions.

My guess is some people have a longer memory than this past series. Just a hunch. The season was very fun.

Great season. Unfortunately, the rumblings of this meltdown started in round 1. Vokoun provided the spark then. Didn't expect this big of failure, but hey. I remember feeling a lot worse in 93, 96 and 08.

sure. makes sense. he's completely befuddled why we didn't score more. he said explicitly that they weren't changing anything after scoring one goal in 5 periods on wednesday. sounds like an awesome line of thinking. can't believe we got shut out

rask and a magical 'barrier'. we had scoring chances on the pp and 5 on 5, that wasn't the problem.. just the puck 'wouldn't go in'.

they won't have a choice. they'll be forced to get rid of him just like staal cause there is no way letang is going to sign for around 6 million per year when he will no doubt get at least 8-10 million per year on the open market by a team that is really really dumb. shero will be forced to trade him just like staal when he makes it clear he isn't resigning in the offseason.

pens must get something for him no way shero will just let him walk

Walt Harris must be the one who taught Bylsma all about adjustments.

It's like 1993, imo. You're left wondering what the hell happened? How did the groovy train derail, crash, and explode beyond salvaging?

On another note, I'm tired of fans of other teams calling us "arrogant." Yes, YOU are allowed to trash talk, prank call bars, root for your team, believe great things about your guys...but not us. If we do it, we're ARROGANT. And now and we're getting our comeuppance, right? F YOU ALL (sorry, Admin).

The Wild only scored once in a 4 game sweep by Anaheim in 2003, so at least we got that going for us.

Was that Wild team the greatest assemblage of offensive power in 20 years of the NHL?

I'm not hassling you, GDR  , really, I'm not. I just can't wrap my head around this.

That's pretty spot on. This team was supposed to roll through the east to fight to the death with Chicago.

I think he and the coaching staff are definitely done in Pittsburgh.

RS went all-in with the moves to get Iggy, Morrow and Murray and then to get swept by the B's and score all of 2 goals in 4 games after a few post-season failures before is going to mean heads roll. You can't fire all the players and this where the HC and his staff take the bullet. Losing to the B's isn't a disgrace....losing THAT way to the Bruins in 4 straight was really ugly and time to move forward with another coaching staff.

Don't disagree to a point but I still believe depleting the roster of real actual solid and fast role players and defense hurt. I don't have anything against those who say HCDB was out coached, I agree.

But our top end talent has masked huge holes in our lineup.
