You know, you don't have to read them, but if you do, I still owe you. You'll get it in the next 2 weeks.

Just like the "Thanks Pens" thread doesn't need to have negativity in it, but yet it's there.

I'll keep an eye on the mailbox.

Man, I hope he doesn't keep that empty suit. Let him get to his game somewhere else.

The thing about that cup is that the Pens won that cup and Bylsma hasn't won another cup since that cup and it was nice when he had that cup.

Yeah, everybody wants Disco out of here, but let us be reminded that in the last three season-ending series the Golden Boy from Cole Harbour has played in, he has 4 goals. In three series. Four goals. Seventeen games. Four goals.

That ain't on the coach.

Transcendent players do better than that, regardless of the coach.

I won't celebrate Bylsma's firing, because 2009 doesn't happen without him. But anyone who watched "The Sopranos" knows you're only as good as your last envelope. And Bylsma's last 4 envelopes have been far too light.

How do you know that isn't on the coach? You don't know what DB game plan was, do you? Or lack thereof

Nope, the franchise will just blame the coach. Always has, always will.

The Capitals and Sharks have changed coaches, too.

I am all ears if you want to explain precisely how it was the coach's fault that the Galaxy of Stars (TM) managed two goals in four games against Bston, or how the Transcendent Golden Boy from Cole Harbour has managed a whopping four goals in his last three season-ending series.

Disco needs to go at this point, but absent a brain and heart transplant, this roster ain't going anywhere in the second season any time soon.

Caps and Sharks, meet the Pens.

But then, the Geriatic Two from Dallas and Calgary would never let something like this happen, huh?

In St. Ray Shero we trust, I guess.

It's hard to say what kind of coach this team needs as this team is most likely going to change dramatically over the next two years. I certainly hope that we choose to go with someone who has experience at this level, not looking to the AHL for up and comers. One thing is for certain, we cannot hire someone who is of the Bylsma/Boudreau philosophy.

With that said, did anyone ever think that the current day teams in Boston, LA or Chicago would win 2 cups before the Penguins? That sounds entitled but it's a viable question. I personally feel like we have wasted a good amount of our "cup window" being patient with a coach who's expiration date has come and gone.

Everybody crapping the bed is precisely why it is coach's fault. You could blame 1 or 2 guys not producing, but if it's the entire team getting shut down like this, it's the approach.

All franchises blame and eliminate the coach...it makes a crap ton more sense from a business perspective. Don't channel the hate towards the pens because every professional franchise in every sport would cut coach before superstar in his prime....ita good business practice.

Exactly... a colossal team wide failure is a system failure and a coaching failure not an individual player. What are you going to say ...each individual player on the team had no effort and a terrible series?
