Kunitz (3.725) Crosby (8.7) Bennett (.9)

Clarkson (3.75) Malkin (8.7) Neal (5)

Cooke (2) Sutter (2.067) Dupuis (2.6)

Glass (1.1) Vitale (.55) Juice (2.1)

Jeffrey (.6)

Martin (5) Orpik (3.75)

Letang (3.5) Despres (.84)

Dumoulin (.9) Eaton (.8)

Engo (.566)

Flower (5)
Vokoun (2)

If I did the math right, I think that is ~64.2
Not going to happen for many reasons including clarkson will get over 4 if he reaches the open market, we'd have to trade nisky (which could still happen), duper probably gets more than 2.6 even if he comes back, and we would have barely have any cap wiggle room. But, I could dig it.

Letang's current contract doesn't expire until after next year, Geo (unless I'm misinterpreting something)

You are correct however I don't see any options for extra space under the cap this year to cover any increase for resigning letang this offseason. Now if your saying we don't need to resign him this off season your wrong. There is no way we let him go to free agency with a chance of getting nothing in return. So if anyone keeps Letang you should have at least an extra 1.5mill under your cap to account for the 14-15 season increase....... maybe i'll try to rebuild with keeping Letang, I just don't see him taking the "hometown" discount.

Yeah I know it was only 22. Those guys that are for less is how it's goin to be if they want to stay. It's obvious IMO Morrow and Murray need to take less. TK is an RFA and got his last contract free a career year with 20 goals he's come back to Earth. Duper I the stretch which is why he's on the 3rd line. I don't expect him back unless he really wants to be. 900k is more than enough to sign a depth plugger. To hit 23 men.

Ryan miller sucks. Might be catching up late on this thread but we should get Miller + for Fluery alone if we wanted to make a move for the sake of making one.

This is where I run into problems. Probably need cap space for more than 23 guys, assuming a call up or two/deadline trade. I dont see us being able to ship off Glass/Nisky or similar in a deal together for a contributing part back. And all of these line ups above (not just yours) are providing the same basic team that got throttled by the Bruins including everyone (especially Dupuis) taking fairly large pay cuts to play here.

Just not wild to think that Bennett/Morrow in expanded top 6 roles, especially Morrow, a Cooke replacement and maybe one 4th line upgrade are going to do much.

This isnt a knock at your line up as all we have seen are pretty much different versions but similar concepts. I dont know what so I cant put a GM/Cap predictor line up together but to be honest I am thinking a few bigger moves will have to and will be made.

But they wont stay for that so it's not realistic. Also though it's true 900k will be enough to sign the last player that will also leave you with $0 for trade deadline and injury wiggle room.

Ok. I Kept Letang his cap hit next year will be only 3.5 but if you pull from the farm club that gives you a lot of room for trade deadline, injurys and Letang's increased salary in 14-15 to almost 5-5.5mill with still room in 14-15

This keeps everyone people seem to want (Letang, Malkin, Flower, Duper) only lose Cooke and Orpik
