Colby Armstrong?

Postby Crankshaft on Sat Jun 29, 2013 4:45 pm

Is it time for the prodigal son to return home? He could be a nice fit in the bottom-6 for around the same cap hit as Tanner Glass. Plus, Sid.

We definitely need more bottom 6 guys that don't do anything particularly well

Yes, let's get him back. Also, let's get Andy Hilbert back. And while we're getting back, we can get back to being less jaded and cynical.

Hilbert should have been kept for the league min he signed for...

I'd like to think we could fill the 4th line with a kid or two for the league minimum instead of paying another Tanner Glass $1MM....

I am a total softy for the ex pens questions. Malone Talbot Colby all those players I enjoyed watching and would love to see them back with the Pens. But when you put on your hockey hat and take off the homer hat its easy to see there are another 100 players of his ability and easily replaceable.

That was kinda my same thought. There are a ton of guys who can plug that 4th line for under a million. Why not Colby?

Because he just isn't any good. He's nothing more than a nostalgia trip. He wasn't even all that great when he was here.
