He was only effective this year on the 4th line. That's facts.

He completely failed this year on the 3rd line.

Please tell me 1 part of Kennedy's game that has improved over the past 3 seasons. Does he chip the puck harder now?

He's terrible.

Feel free to type a few lines and disagree, I'm honestly shocked anytime someone tells me hes worth keeping.

Tyler Kennedy 4th liner, should be making .750k.

Not really...

Clutterbuck brings the same game as Cooke. It would make sense that with Cooke being a UFA, the Pens going after the same kind of player in Clutterbuck it would make keeping Cooke irrelevant.

crafty work by shero. they're all in with sutter, so kennedy didn't have a place on this team. nice to get something for him.

We can't afford Duper and I don't want to see Sid deprived of Bennett because of him...so let him go. Replace Cooke with Clutter.

I hope everyone on here is happy. Nice to be fired up about draft picks who may not see the ice until 2016, if we're lucky. Thanks for your hard work, TK. At least you weren't afraid to throw the puck at the net.

What's the over/under on when people on here start complaining when TK has a hot streak in the first month of the season for the Sharks?

Agreed regarding Clutterbuck/Cooke. Not sure if we should be spending crazy scratch on Dupuis though...

If Sutter is truly a checking center, then add checking wings to his line and build a shut-down line. I will miss TK, who always played well in the playoffs. He has a role to play in the NHL, but not if the 3rd line isn't an energy/secondary scoring line.

Shero needs to re-tool the bottom 6 and the 3rd D pair if he wants to change the approach to the game. Having said that I still don't know if Bylsma can coach a hybrid defensive team.

Getting Cooke and Kennedy and I was hoping Adams replaced is at least significant change. Problem is, Cooke and Kennedy were some of the better playoff performers down there.

Vitale, Jeffrey, Adams, Zol(don't care how to spell the rest), Sutter and Glass are the bottom 6 right now. That is terrible. If we add Jussi to that list it makes it slower. I was really hoping for a huge upgrade in size and speed down there.

This was obviously coming (to all those people whining about retaining him). Asset management.

yep. kennedy was pretty much a square peg being forced in a round hole this year, both with our system, and playing with sutter who, as good as he is defensively, is pretty much a black hole for offense. And frankly, kennedy isn't smart enough to change his style to play that way, or skilled enough to move up the depth chart.

Kennedy is going to have 4 goals in his first 2 games for the Sharks.

Then 4 goals for the entire rest of the season.

76 games played
8 goals scored
8 assists
-6 on the season

That's Tyler Kennedy.

I'd keep him on the 4th line for 750k. I agree 2.0m is too much.

clearing as little as 2 million you have the chance to sign someone like briere to play with sid since dupuis seems to be as good as gone or gives you the opportunity to resign cooke

jeffrey deserves a chance to play and i have no doubt he can put up better numbers than tk playing everday.

Suttet is the opposite hand as Staal and uses his LW as his scoring wing. Kennedy just would never fit with him. Now Jokinen on the LW? That will work.

I would not have expected that one year of Kennedy would bring back a second. Really good move to recoup a draft pick.

Yup. I'd like to see Niskanen moved as well now to make space for Dumoulin, free up another $1.5m.
