I'll miss Sutter and Neal yelling "Old boy, Old boy, Old boy, Old Boy, Old Boy!"

Srlys, best of luck to him. I always like a guy who bides his time on the bench well and is ready when called upon. Also, he was a nice part of the Cup run.

Nothing to dislike about this trade as far as I'm concerned. Not interested in players that can only play in one way in one situation. I would have been happy no matter what they got back as long as it didn't have a contract.

He was only effective this year on the 4th line. That's facts.

He completely failed this year on the 3rd line.

Please tell me 1 part of Kennedy's game that has improved over the past 3 seasons. Does he chip the puck harder now?

He's terrible.

Feel free to type a few lines and disagree, I'm honestly shocked anytime someone tells me hes worth keeping.

Tyler Kennedy 4th liner, should be making .750k.

The biggest upside to this trade is no longer have to read your posts obsessing over TK.

Kennedy is worth less than $2 million in cap space to this team. Therefore his presense was a net negative and removing him is a net positive for the team. Thats addition by subtraction

I've always liked him, he's done well in the playoffs and I thought he took too much crap, although his contract was a little too much. This is a great trade but it only increases my worries about how we'll round out the forwards after Crosby, Malkin, Neal, Kunitz, Sutter, and Jokinen.

Half of my draft day wish came true.....now to unload Jokkinen's 2.1mil, so we can afford Dupuis, or go after Clarkson, MacArthur, Penner, Briere, or a few of the other decent top 6 wingers that will be available come July 5th.

Kennedy goes Brian Strait on his way out the door -

He was perplexed that he wasn’t regularly in the lineup for the Penguins, who were swept by Boston in the Eastern Conference finals. Kennedy played in just two games in that series.

“I’m not really sure. I thought I had a great playoff, and I’m kind of stumped,” said Kennedy, who had two goals and three assists in nine playoff games. “I’m really kind of lost why they didn’t play me more.”

Sorry TK you didn't play cause your coach was an idiot. I am either a TK fan or a Byslma fan but when TK was added to the line up he played effectively. Again our coach is a dupa.

That's true: Shero thought so highly of him, that he promptly traded him.

I don't know a lot about hockey. I do know that the playing/not playing of Despres or TK or Glass or Jeffrey or Bort or Steve *pizza* McIntrye would have not changed one thing in the Boston series.

Well, lets be fair. They had to keep replacing the seats that were 20 or so rows back behind the net because of TK.

Dirty little secret - we outplayed Boston the majority of that series and deserved markedly better than a sweep. But deserves got nothing to do with, and sometimes luck (or lack thereof) and bounces don't go your way. **** happens.
