:thumb: Love the deal myself. He was going to get 4years and probably more in UFA if he went that route but RS and agent Walsh and Dupuis got it done. I think he'll be a good value regardless of the salary cap, though it seems pretty much a given to bounce back up during the years that Dupuis may have slowed down a bit.

Just because there are other worse contracts out there doesn't justify giving out more potentially bad contracts.

I'm on the fence about whether this applies to the dupuis contact, but absolutely agree with this post. Its bothersome that people seem to not realize that.

If there is one player on the PENS that deserves a raise like this the spend the rest of his career in Pittsburgh it is Duper. Congrats to him; I am betting he has more than 4 years in the tank anyway.

I don't look at it as 3.75 million for what you will do for us. I look it has 3 million for what you did do for us at half that value + a 750k raise.

Doesn't make the cap hit any less but, whatever.
