I said 'the better part", meaning between 5 and 10. Technically Neal has only 5 years left so he could be gone in 6. Bennett will be here at least until he hits UFA status.

If you develop Bennett to the point where he is Crosby's primary scoring winger and Neal is Malkin's, you just need to cultivate two younger Kunitz/Dupuis types to play 3rd wheel.

This guy is a regular season coach and a loser in crunch time.

Should fit in just well with this coaching staff. Just like what pcm said... so much stuff Shero did this offseason really makes be disappointed.

Nizzy, you are comparing apples and oranges.

For example, Joel Quenneville just barely makes it over .50, Martin is at .45. Most of the coaches who have been part of more than one cup run, are under .50. Only one can win, and to have a positive winning record in playoffs, your team pretty much has to make it to the conference finals. If you get it to the 2nd round and lose, you are probably at or close to .50.

To have a winning record, a team has to make it to the conference finals pretty much, or at least get very near to winning a cup. Every season and win a cup every now and then.

Jack Adams had a playoffs record of .50 and Herb Brooks .475. Pat Burns .523, Jacques Lemaire .522 and Bob Johnson .539.
Regular season is different in more ways than we can imagine. Of all assistant coaches, there's likely no one of Martin's pedigree. No one.

He's not comparing anything. He's just trolling...
