Don't they usually have several closed practices before they open up?

I think Saturday is the only open one...

Skullman is correct, Saturday's practice is the only one open to the public.

last year, I remember a few week day practices at the Consol were open. This was after the scrimmage.
BUT, it was in January... not the usual camp regimen. We should be happy with the days they give us.

I will be in attendance Thursday through Sunday, and will be tweeting out what I see and writing up daily recaps. Despite me getting access, I am still disappointed in the schedule not being released until the last minute and there only being one day (Saturday) open to the public. Before the move across the street, pretty much all camp practices were open to the public. I know it costs a decent buck to open the building to the public, and I also know that whatever they sell in concessions doesn't pay for the ushers and other staff they have to bring in, to say nothing of increased operating costs for basic building services like AC, water, and electricity. You would think they are profitable enough to throw the fans more than one day though, but I suppose it's easier for me to say that when it isn't my money.

Hopefully, I can try to be the eyes for you guys and lessen that a bit, even though it's not the same as getting to watch for yourself.

So do we know how early this thing is gonna be on Saturday... I read they are opening the gates at 8:30? So I'm guessing 9-11 or so??

Saturday is an interesting day in Pittsburgh. Pens scrimmage, Pitt game, and a meaningful Pirates game going on the same day. Pitt plays at 12:30 and Pirates are obviously at 7.

I planned on going to the Pitt game after the scrimmage since I can get tickes so cheap and I already be in Pittsburgh, figured the scrimmage would be over by 11 or 11:30, but didn't see any times posted.

Johe Yohe reported the scrimmage was at 10am, so there must be a practice session or two prior to that.

i really can't believe HCDB said the penguins have the "best goaltending tandom in the NHL" today

that's as bad as some of the pirates quotes in the past. jeez...

I don't have any issue with it, at least with regards to the regular season. And who knows, Clint Hurdle was laughed at for predicting 95 Pirate wins. They're on pace for 94.

There isn't a better tandem in the league for the regular season. The only one that was even close (from a quick recall) was Quick-Bernier, and Bernier got traded to the Leafs.

Uncle Daddy and Schneider should be decent this year. Too bad for the Devils those 2 can't score (insert Marty goal from last year joke)

Because 95 was a longshot. Looks like they were right to laugh at him for suggesting it, the Pirates overachieved and still aren't on pace for it. :pop:

I'd say Ottawa has a better tandem.

93.7 the Fan is reporting MAF gave up 3 goals on the first three shots he faced.

Maybe MAF thinks it is still the playoffs. It is the first practice so this means absolutely nothing..................I hope. Just weird to see Glass and Adams scoring goals.
