I missed the explanation of the new possible icing rule.. what did they change?

Hybrid icing. Basically eliminates players chasing for the puck and crashing into the boards. Linesmen's discretion as to which playing is winning the race by the time they reach the faceoff circle. I should add if there's no race, it'll still be touch icing.

Yeah. I don't like that it's another "discretion" call. If they want to eliminate the injuries, I'd rather just see automatic icing.

Kobasew has done more in that 12 jersey tonight than Iginla seemed to during his time here.

Kobasew certainly deserving of a look.

I'm hoping Harrington is the future Rob Scuderi, with a little more offense.

I agree. I'm not sure what gave the NHL the idea that their officials could be trusted with the use of discretion. They're not very consistent.
