Fleury will be just fine this (regular) season. But that's the issue, isn't it? He's been fine the last two regular seasons.....

So, what are Bales/Martin doing that Meloche didn't in terms of coaching Fleury? How is Bales working with MAF to refine his game? I'm not really hearing much on how he's working with Fleury.

Bales has been on the job for a few months. Why hasn't he completely transformed 25 years of Fleury's game by now?

He shouldn't even touch that mess. Focus on Jarry and Hartzell and hope one of them becomes a starter in a couple years.

Can he prescribe Ritalin, because I don't how he would affect MAF's concentration level, otherwise.

Can we at least wait until a month into the season before we give up completely? I know it is easier to be a negative person, but lets just see what happens first.

I'd laugh so hard if he comes out and puts up crazy numbers and then everyone jumps on the "fleury is awesome" bandwagon then he sucks in the playoffs again just to remind everyone who he is.

Wut? :face:

What kind of a heretic are you? It's time for panic NOW. :scared:

We can do that in the pre-season and avoid the rush.

I don't know if you pay attention to steeler boards, or even the NHR steeler threads here - but people want to drop Roethlisberger next year for an unnamed early round draft pick. A **** offensive coordinator calling plays for him with no offensive line play in front of him - and it's time to go out to pasture.

In Pittsburgh - it's always the quarterback and the goalie's fault.

I'd say that Yinzburghers usually blame the coaches.

I'm baffled at the people acting like this is an overreaction. Fleury this teams "franchise" goalie has crapped the bed for 4 straight years. Sid and Geno scoring or not the guy giving up back breaking goals on the first shot he sees or back breaking goals when the team is starting to rally is a proven track record. There is no overreaction here only realization of the truth.

Except that he spent the majority of the past playoffs watching from the bench and they got put out because, despite excellent goaltending from Vokoun, they couldn't score.

What do Marc-Andre Fleury and Ben Roethlisberger have in common? :pop:
