If I wanted a sure win, I'd go with this.

If I just wanted to have some fun, I'd go Maata/Pouliot (whichever played), Zolnierczyk, Bennett.

I could be wrong, but I think Neal has an insane % in SOs.

Yeah, the difference in skill was very apparent in the SO.

So MAF will now backup Zatkoff :) If Jeff can keep it up, Tomas can take a little more time to recover and be 100% when he comes back later in the season.

Congrats to the Miami U Redhawk~(still indians to many) JZatkoff!
Kris letang should be forced to watch a montage of his goals daily ! If he only knew what a shot he has.

The evening was worth it to witness both, Sid and Evgeni, each get 1 shift on the PK! :D dreamy.

I would not be surprised to see Pouliot or Maatta get a 10 game tryout at Despres's expense to start the year. Both have played well and it wouldn't be bad to see how they handle limited minutes in a real game.

Despres might actually benefit of another week or two of 20+ minute games in WBS to shake some rust off.

And with D'Agostini injured I don't know how he beats out Kobasew for a spot on this team especially in the bottom 6. Stat comparison:

D'Agostini: 3 gp, 0 g, 0 a, -2, 2 pim, 4 hits, 2 blocks and 4sog
Kobasew: 4 gp, 2 g, 0 a, even, 0 pim, 9 hits, 3 blocks, 12 sog

Kobasew is exactly what this team needs in a bottom 6 guy right now. D'Agostini would be better served to come up later for a top 6 injury.

Maatta could probably step in and not embarrass himself, but there's not much benefit in keeping him around. It's a shame he can't play in WBS this season. Pouliot meanwhile is nowhere near NHL-ready, imo.

I like what I see out of Maatta. However, I don't see a reason for him to be on the team this year when he would get all the minutes in the world in juniors. Next year when we lose 3 guys, that's another story.

:thumb: Agreed. He looked good last night, but with the glut of NHL defenseman the Pens have, Maata must go back the Jr.

The more I look at it

The more I like it.
I do think it's good.
The fact is..
No matter how closely I study it

No matter how I take it apart

No matter how I break it down

It remains consistant.
